T-rated version of TLaTU is go... · 2:49pm May 8th, 2018
I asked for ten yea votes to do it, and I got nine. But there were also two yea votes by different readers for the T-rated version for the trial, so counting those, that makes 11. Threshold exceeded, so as promised, a T-rated version of The Lawyer and The Unicorn will be released.
Best guess is that it will take me 2-3 weeks to complete a modified version of the original, so I will aim to publish it around Memorial Day weekend (last weekend in May). More information and perhaps a teaser or two will follow as the release date gets closer.
I emphasize that I am not pulling the original, which I'm in fact quite proud of. I'm simply doing what I now realize I should really have done all along--release two versions in parallel, one M-rated and one T-rated so there would be something for everyone and readers could choose which version they wished to follow.
But live and learn. I'll be using this dual-version strategy going forward into future TAS/TLaTU sequels as well. Those of you who've been waiting for a Turnabout Storm sequel you could follow are about to get a 200,000 word story with a twelve-chapter trial unlike anything Phoenix has ever experienced before. And who knows? Maybe this second release also will drum up some interest for the original, which has gotten tantalizingly close to 300 likes.
