    Additional Updates

What’s up fam- it’s your physically and temporally-absent boi here dropping back in.

Brief updates on life- been working my tail off (doctoring is hard) and got married last month. I haven’t forgotten about you all. There’s still plenty of stories rattling around upstairs; it’s just a matter of finding time to put fingers to the keyboard.

    My thoughts on Gen 5

Watched it on opening day on Netflix.

Pretty good, actually. Looking forward to writing new ponies to snug, and I bet the TV universe will be really interesting!

I Finally Chose a Medical School! · 10:04pm Apr 26th, 2018

It won't be official until tomorrow, but I will be attending Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine starting in August!

I've been a Chicagoan pretty much all of my life so it's great to be returning home (although to be honest I've learned to appreciate Cleveland's merits too over the past four years).

Here's to four more years of education, four more years (at least) of pony fanfiction, and a lifetime of memes.

(Soon, I will be responsible for the lives of actual human beings. God help us all.)

That's awesome to hear! Good luck to you in your medical career.

Whooo let's go cook county!

Fun fact: I went to Elementary school in Lake County, Middle School in Cook County, and High school at a school that was on Lake-Cook road; all in the same school district.
Were you at Whinny City Ponycon a few weeks ago? I was :D

Someday we shall call you Dr. Cuddles.

Will the memes be enough to save someone else's life is the question.

Congrats!
May you find fortune on your life.

Congratulations Grant! I know we talked a bit about your goals into getting into medical school and I'm so excited for you that you get to see those goals become reality! I know you'll do great and I look forward to hearing about all the lives you change, whether it be with the help of medical devices or your powerful words and stories. I know you've done so for me and I can never thank you enough for that! Best of luck buddy, you got this!

OwO love you buddy and thanks! You chose a grad school yet?

4849774
Unfortunately I was not accepted into any I applied, although that might have been my fault for only picking prestigious schools. :twilightblush: So I'm just planning at working either in a hospital or medical center or something related to my field and apply for the next year.

That's a good plan. Lots of people are taking one or more gap years now- always good to beef up that publication record!
Did you apply to Case Western Reserve? I shouldn't plug my own school, but for BME... :3c

4849790
I didn't actually. The ones I applied to were Georgia Tech, Rice, Boston University and UPenn. However on my second round, I believe Case Western was one of them. A lot of the schools are actually near you, Northwestern University is one of them!

Fam you should come up. I'll be living downtown and my parents are still in the suburbs where I grew up :D

I wish I was a PhD applicant...I applied to 41 schools and finished 38 applications :raritycry:
