Explanation For New Chapter... · 6:48pm Mar 9th, 2018
Folks I do hope you will get to see this.
I think I should explain something in regards of the new chapter of Shattered. Now when it came to the certain character a la Starswirl, there were a few thoughts running rampant in my head.
First of all, I wanted to pay homage to a bit of Shadow Play for SHOWING us how they got tossed into Earth.
Second, I wanted to leave Starswirl in a bit of a mysterious light. Yeah we know he was a royal jerk, but here's the thing. I just want to let you all know, we don't know much about him. I wanted to make it so that we didn't know much about him, and there could be more reason for him being a complete d**k like that.
I apologize for it just coming straight out of left field and there not being much to it but I thought you guys deserved a reason for my take on that scene.
Thank you.
I really I was hopping he would be different version of himself on many fictions, like a noble hero to try to protect them from the ponies and without knowing what problems they would have in other world.
Well you are the writer, do what you think is right. XD

A lot of ideas just bounced in my head when it came to writing this, so I just went with the first thing in my head. Didn't say it was good, but went with the first thing.

That's okay, it happens with everyone.
Personally I like the way you had this go, rather than the sirens causing problems, they were making life better for them. I'm not a fan of Starswirl and this is something I could see him doing, tossing them based solely because of their appearance. I love this story and keep up the good work.
Ah, it's fine. XD I get what you're saying, it was just a bit of a knee-jerk "damn it Star-Swirl!" reaction on my part.
Although I am interested by the fact that he didn't banish them out of evil. It would have been kind of funny to see Star-Swirl as an evil wizard (one who's polite and affable instead of gruff and assholish) banishing the Sirens for trying to stop his plans, but at the same time I'm glad now that you went with something a bit closer to canon.
That makes much more sense.
