Ok, so, show of hands if you think that "Forgotten Friendship" is "Anon-A-Miss" done right.
I mean, obviously the film still has flaws - the girls still remember that magic exists and Sunset is wearing a geode exactly like theirs. That seriously didn't raise any suspicion?
And then there's Wallflower - it's pretty obvious from the start that she's the villain, and that Trixie's a red herring.
Overall though, it took the "Sunset's friends and the whole school turning against her" plot and actually made it believable.
I didn't get to see much of it, but... *raises hand*
I have to agree *raises hand*
50/50 Sunset actively getting angry worsens her situation but Wallflower's lady hate-boner towards Sunset is rather arbitrary as she ignores everything else Sunset has done because she isn't nice to her specifically and given the events she was apparently present for, (ie iirc her flashback showed her at the Friendship Games.)

Well considering how Sunset treats Wallflower in the beginning, if we assume that wasn't the first time that's happened it's easy to understand why Wallflower might start to take it personally.

Fair enough but I feel my second point still stands.
*raises hand* It also has the advantage running poor Sunset through the wringer of loosing all her friends, without making the Rainbooms look like jerks. What with them being under a spell and all.

*Raises hand high* I concur with this.
Agreed.
The key strength is that at least the Mane 6 have a reason for turning on Sunset; they physically cannot remember her as a nice person. If only IDW had run with that idea...
