God I'm sick of holidays.

That is possibly the biggest 1st world problem ever, but I'm deadly serious. I had a fantastic first three weeks off: took some time to unwind after months of hard work, went to Beijing, visited Tokyo, it was amazing. BUT this last fortnight has been murder. Shanghai has been dead over Chinese New Year because no-one is from the inner city. People live there, but it's not your hometown. This may not sound impressive, but this is a city of 25 million.

Nearly 5 times the population of Ireland.

In one city.

And streets were empty.

FUCK

With the Lunar New Year, new things are set to come around. The year has rolled forwards on both calendars, so it's all brand new from here on out. And this free time has been put to good use. Caught up on a shitton of hurse adventures for one.

The other thing it's allowed me to do is to write the entire plot of Waking the Dead. I won't spoil how many chapters I have planned, but I'm making solid progress so far. On that note, chapter 5 is more or less complete, as is chapter 6. Hard and Septic's fight was a blast to write, so I'm keen to get back into tense one on one fight scenes. Something about it just flows better for me, same deal when I'm talking IRL.

Gumdrop is getting some love too, I have a few story ideas kicking around and I'm keen to get them started. Additionally, I do have something big planned for our Detective Colt, but it'll be a while until I get around to it. At least another short story or two.

That's about it on my end. In the coming weeks I want to write about how I write, like a self reflection of sorts, and show the development I've had.

Ironic those were the parts that I hated back at uni.
