So this update is late. Like pretty late compared to previous ones, but I'm on holiday so bleh.

"Where are you KendallKun?" I hear the small voice at the back cry. Well small voice, I've finally made my way to weaboo heaven. Yes sir, located just twenty minutes from Akihabara itself, I'm in Tokyo.

It is FUCKING AWESOME. Animu lover aside, the people here are great, the historical side of things is cool as hell, so much going on everyday. Pictures of loot and other things will be coming for those who are interested, but that's by the by.

It has also opened my eyes to how different things can be within such a short distance. More in the case of a city than how people live their lives, but that's also important. If I were to put it down, it would be the feel of a city. There is a distinct difference between Tokyo and Shanghai that may reflect the two countries, or not.

Tokyo feels more organic, a city that has grown and was shaped over the years by a variety of events. There is history to every building, every reconstructed shrine. The flow of old and new, a constant thrum of energy to the streets.

Shanghai feels like a lego set. It's built for purpose. This building is for banking, this is for living, here is mall 20011, here is a park because aesthetics. It's alive, but only because people live there. There isn't the same vibrancy to life despite having a population almost 3 times that of Tokyo. Not to say Shanghai is dead, but Shanghai is the city you live in. Not the one you visit.

Beyond all that, life is going on. WRiting is going well. Watch this space for more Gumdrop and a shipfic. It'll be interesting, I'll say that much.
