    Something in the works? Maybe?

A thestral, a siren, a zebra, a dragon, a changeling, a kirin, three unicorns, three pegasi, three earth ponies, and three alicorns all walk into a bar.

They then get kicked out because that's way too many characters with "primary/secondary protagonist" billing for one story.

    Follow-Up Clarification

    Vagueposting aside, here's what's up:

I'm not going to worry about all my stories at once, that way leads disaster as has been proven time and again already. Still want to try to do something with Of Responsibility, The Atlantis Scenario, Contrast, etc; but not yet.

    [Snippet] The Ponyville Numbers Station

Sunset Shimmer set about unpacking her things. Though still reluctant toward the idea of staying in Ponyville long-term, she was at least going to make sure she was comfortable here during her visit. After a solid couple hours of work, the previously-bland master bedroom had been transformed into something far more cozy. The bed was made, her spellbooks and theory texts placed snugly on a

ColdGoldLazarus's Treatise On The Care And Feeding Of Sub Shops (And Other News Of Questionable Relevancy) · 11:13pm Oct 21st, 2012

So.

I have internet back, full-time.

I also have a job at Quiznos.

There are a lot of things I want to say right now, (it was a long weekend) and I have plenty of time to say it, but you'll have to excuse me a moment while I finish laughing too hard to think coherently.

...

Okay, I'm back.

So I'll take this in a temporal fashion; I think that's the best way to sort out my thoughts for now. Anything that's actually relevant to FimFiction will be in bold, so if you're just here for my stories, skip to those sections.

On Friday, my little brother had school off, so I had to watch him. As a result, I couldn't really sneak on to the computer, which is why I wasn't on then. But that evening, I got a call form Quiznos. They wanted me to come in on Saturday and Sunday and work a few hours, as a sort of 'test-run' to see how things would go. I was beyond happy.

Saturday, I got up early even though I didn't need to be there until 11. I had a strange dream where I was a girl, but that has nothing to do with anything. XD Anyway, I got washed up and did my best to look halfway decent. And then off I went.

Day 1 was hectic; apparently the friday-saturday night crew didn't do most of what they were supposed to, so my co-workers for that day, both of whom had red dye in their hair, smoked, and swore like sailors when the customers weren't around, (and a few times even when they were) were somewhat understandably ticked. That said, they were very helpful and friendly to me, and probably more patient than I really deserved. I came in during the lunch rush, so they didn't really have much time at first to show me the ropes, but once things slowed down, they were able to... well, show me the ropes. :rainbowlaugh:
Though I was still a bit slow, and had more than a few customers giving me impatient glares (And at one point, I was having a really hard time refraining from snide comments about a family of eight that came in (a close-cropped, stocky dad who went heavy on the meat and light on the veggies/lettuce, an unhealthily gaunt mom who didn't order anything and spoke in a kindly tone of voice even as she all but told us to go screw ourselves, and six kids, all within a relatively small age range, who had nothing but cheese on a small bun each)) I was at least relatively neat, and though I started to panic a bit near the end of the lunch rush, I don't think I did too badly. I went a bit OCD on the floors and tables when cleaning during the late-afternoon lull, and then I was done at 3.

I came home exhausted (and with a somewhat sick stomach thanks to overindulging in Dr. Pepper when I found out employees got fountain drinks free) but overall pretty happy. I was planning on working on The Atlantis Scenario, but as with Thursday, CELESTIA-DAMMIT MINECRAFT STOP BEING SO ADDICTING.

Sunday; today. I got up a bit later than normal, as I've decided to try to start getting up on my own, without the parental units' help, only to find out it wasn't too big a deal, as everyone else had decided they needed to use the shower before me, so I ended up hanging out for an hour and a half before suddenly having to rush through the shower and wash up and get something nice on and for some reason Grandma and Grandpa were visiting so they drove me over to the place in their van.

Day 2. Different people today; a really quiet girl who may or may not be named Lizzy, and one of the actual shift managers. Lunch rush wasn't nearly as bad as yesterday's, and I actually had an inkling of how things worked, so I was able to jump right in. My co-workers for today were far more professional, which was both good and bad, as it was harder to read them and their thoughts of me. I'm still honestly not sure if Lizzy? was looking down on me or just really shy.
Anyway, though things went well for the most part, I spent a good chunk of the first two or so hours re-learning things yesterday's co-workers had taught me wrong or learning new things they had completely neglected. Once things slowed down and I was able to talk a bit, (though Lizzy? left at 1, so as I said, I still don't know what her whole deal is) I learned part of the reason for that; it seems that yesterday's staff (who I will now refer to as Audry and Derrek, as I only learned their names now) have some sort of grudge match with the usual night shift crew, and since the manager lady had the last couple of days off, they were doing really childish things back-and-forth, mainly 'forgetting' to do most of their stuff and failing to clean up before leaving. So she came in this morning to find the store all but a complete pit, and was more than slightly irritated, very understandably. Honestly, from the way it's sounding plus what I saw yesterday, she seems to be handling it remarkably well.
Since only three people came in the last two hours, I washed the dishes, and was off at 4. The manager lady (I need to find out her name) said I was hired, gave me the next week's schedule and some paperwork to fill out, and told me to be there on Tuesday at 10:30.

I now have a job, I now have internet, I now need to go to dinner, and I'm going to try to get further on The Atlantis Scenario, though from the way things have slowed down, I may go ahead and send the first chapter to my pre-reader (Emeral Bookwise is awesome) after supper.

all my yes.
Good job on getting the job, and I wish you well on your writing, good sir.

Nope.
Not going to read this on my phone.

438754 But that's what all the cool kids are doing

438753 Thank you! :pinkiehappy:

438754 Just read the bolded text; it has all the stuff you'll actually care about. Also, while I'm in this strange mood of being too honest for my own good, I'm gonna say I really don't like your icon. :P

438799 Thanks!

438854 Eeyup.

438869
As long as you tell me you don't like it.:twilightsheepish:
And I can't really do think if it from said phone

438963
I'm talking into my phone, shut up.

It sucked at typing what I say.... YOU HAD ONE JOB!!! :facehoof:

I just have to wait 1 and a half more weeks to get my laptop back

Sounds like a hectic weekend. At least you found out what you were supposed to do on the first day.

I somehow beat the Minecraft addiction syndrome. But I can understand why it got you (again).

So, congratulations on the job, and to a lesser extent, the return of the Internet. And good luck with Atlantis!

440078 Eeyup. All in all, I'd say I'm pretty happy with how things went.

HOW. PLEASE TELL ME HOW. (I was fine until thursday/firday, when my little brother started playing it and I had to watch him and I can't write with other people in the same room as me and I couldn't exactly leave him alone and I ended up opening MC too because GAH. :raritydespair:)

But anyway, thanks, thanks, and much thanks!

440106

That's pretty much what happened the first time, but unfortunately this towers map has reignited my interest. :applejackunsure: I'll just try to ignore the game for a few days and hope things die down as quickly as they came. :applejackunsure:

:pinkiehappy:

440113 Wait, shit... I deleted my comment? BUT IF IT WAS A DOUBLE POST, HOW DO I DELETE BOTH BY DELETING ONE?? :raritydespair: :facehoof: So I barely remember what I said, but anyway...

Well, similar things have happened. Specifically on my previously mentioned private server. But I haven't touched Minecraft in weeks, and before that time, weeks again. I guess you'll stop being a MineAddict eventually. Kind of just happens sometimes.
Well, not to everyone.

Good luck with your job in the future! :pinkiehappy:

440120 Oh, I, ah... must have deleted the other one. :unsuresweetie: I guess we hit the button at the same time or something.

Ach so.
I envy those people.

Denke!

440122 Whoops! :rainbowlaugh: Oh well.

Who knows, you may end up being one of those people. Or not. You may end up playing Minecraft well after you're 'OldOldLazarus' :derpytongue2:

Velcome, Herr Lazarus! :trollestia:

440215

Hopefully I won't. Also, you're having way too much fun with my username.

I wish; I seem to be to Germany, Australia, and Canada what Weaboos are to Japan. :rainbowlaugh:

440931 That's probably the only joke related to it that I'll pull out in the foreseeable future.

I haven't noticed that much, but I can totally understand; Germany has a great way of speaking English with an accent, Canada created FiM (plus everyone is half-bear:rainbowlaugh:) and Australia has the best Native English accent, an awesome landscape with heaps of deadly animals, and me :rainbowdetermined2:

440957 Still. XD

That pretty much sums it up! :pinkiehappy: Well, I dunno about that last part... :P

440978 Who knows, my astounding wit may come up with something else on the spur of the moment. :rainbowlaugh:

Thought so. :derpytongue2: And yeah, being falsely super immodest is just fun sometimes. I'm sure you understand.

440992 Maybe. :ajsmug:

Of course I understand; I understand everything there is to understand! :pinkiecrazy:

441212 :rainbowwild:

Ah, so you've looked into the void as well? What was it like? For me it was the taste of purple and a headache like a thousand supernovas. :pinkiecrazy:

442324 It just made me want to go to sleep. :trollestia:

442354 Pshh, sleep is for the weak! And the strong... And everything in between, I guess...
Gah! :flutterrage:

442357 I normally go with the 'sleep is for the weak' philosophy, but I am starting to get genuinely tired. Goodnight.

Saturday, I got up early even though I didn't need to be there until 11. I had a strange dream where I was a girl, but that has nothing to do with anything.

TIL: CGL is a girl
