Thought I'd Drop In...

I'm not sure what I'm doing on this little corner of the internet.
Perhaps it's nostalgia, perhaps it's mere desperation for an audience, but here I am again!
(With 196 notifications that I will never read!)

So! Funny story!
I was feeling bummed that one of my latest drawings didn't get any attention, as I thought it was quite cleaver (Yes. Chopping things.), but as I was pondering this in the shower, you know, audiences and stuff, I thought: "I wonder what the guys over on Fimfiction are up to? ...Probably wondering where the heck I am."
So after I got out, I dug through my KeePass passwords (I highly recommend KeePass, actually, especially if you have umpty-gillion passwords like me), found my username and password buried in there ("Good grief! I still call myself Electroshock70 here!") and logged in to post this little blog.

Here's why:

VHV is now 70 pages strong (rounded up) and still progressing. This ain't just some little side project anymore! It's probably my main thing now! So you might consider this a public service announcement. True, I'm trying to get fans of my pony stories to look at and like something that isn't a pony story, but if you like how I write stuff, you'll probably like how I'm writing this stuff.

Speaking of that parenthetical bit that writers usually treat as only an aside, I want to let you know that the website has also gotten a lot prettier since you might have seen it! Oh yeah! It has a website now! There's a whole bunch of goodies like extras, links and an about page as well. Did I mention I think it's pretty?

So why am I actually here besides that?
Well...
I've never gotten over my story Harmony Was Mistaken. I've never quite gotten over ponies either. It's just not something that happens when you spend your tween-age years loving the ever loving crap out of a show about multi-chromatic equines.

BUT

I'm definitely not following the show either. I have no idea about what is canon since Starlight Glimmer was reformed (Though apparently Fluttershy has a brother who's a lazy bum? Also something about dragon games, and maybe Scootaloo has a sad moment (My brothers tell me stuff)), and as much as I would like to say otherwise, I've come to terms with the fact that really don't care.

I'm sorry! But fans of The Matrix traditionally disown the second two movies in the trilogy, so I don't see why I can't like a show up to a certain point and just be fine with not seeing it through afterwards. Besides, I've never had a good time trying to reconcile canon MLP stuff with what I want to write. There are many things I want to do that canon would otherwise forbid.

You know what they say, "When in doubt, Alternate Universe!"

...They don't say that, do they?

Anyway, you can now expect me to start pestering people here about my non-pony stuff as well as _{maybe start writing again.}

Bear in mind, fics are really just going to be practice for the real dealio. I'll have fun, and I hope you do too, but I can't legally feed myself on fanfic money. Some artists do, but that's illegal.
