Coke.com members: This Is A Test Of The Possible Free Amazon Gift Card Emergency Alert System · 10:11pm Dec 19th, 2017

If you've ever signed up for a Coke account in the States (to play the instant win game I talked about earlier in the season, or if you just have a holdover from the MCR days), log in to that account immediately: Coke has been putting free $5.00 Amazon gift codes into accounts. This gifting may still be in progress, so if you don't see one on your account, check again tomorrow.

Here's how to do it.

#1. Check your Email. Some people are getting notices. Others have not. If you have one, you've likely got a card waiting: if not, it may still be there. The title will be Enjoy A Surprise Gift From Coca-Cola.
#2. Either way, log into your Coke.com account. There will be a red gift box icon on the upper right of the screen. If there is a white number 1 in it (or higher), click on it.
#3. An Offers window will come up, and hopefully you'll see the Amazon logo there. If it's present, click and follow the redemption steps normally.

Act fast. There's no 'while supplies last' listed for this, but the cards are only supposed to be there through the 24th. (The Email says the offer ends on the 25th -- but that can sometimes mean at the moment the clock crosses midnight into Christmas.) I don't know if the offer is only good for accounts which have been around for an unknown amount of time and I'm pretty sure it's not going to kick in for those signing up for the first time today -- but it might be worth a shot.

Good luck.

Follow-up note: in terms of incoming traffic, the site is getting slammed right now. People are reporting post-redemption delays of twenty minutes or longer before receiving the resulting gift code in their Email. So if you don't see anything immediately after successfully running through Coke's end of the process, just wait it out.

Thanks for sharing this; my best friend is an avid cap collector, and is quite thrilled.

I'm always somewhat bemused by these Coke member stories, since I can't even remember the last time I actually drank a Coke. I gave up soda and juice (except coffee which is bean juice) months ago.
