I have made a new species when I made my oc with the help of a few of my friends I have found a name for said species they are called Scorpiuus or the Savannah wonder's they live in plains and Savannah's and are enemies of the changelings. Each gender has there own things to help them survival as a whole. Example the females are smarter and can launch magical missiles out of there tail. while the males are bigger more durable and are resistant to magic. Both have have deadly venom in there tail's, restore magic from extracting/absorbing it from changelings and can cover a wide area(about the size of a basket ball course) in magic that will poison anything that's not one of there kind. It last about 5 minutes. The poison form their magic can not kill you and has the benifit of giving you tempary immunity to the venom in there tail's it will wear off once you go to sleep but you will be weaker for a while. The antidote for both is peaches. It is believed that the reason for this is so they can harvest the more magic over a greater period of time not capable of earning cutie markes They are nomadic and travel in groups of about 5 to 10
As you can see I put a lot of thought into this species so I have a challenge for you make your own species list there habitats strengthens and weakness natural enemies and allies as well if they are capable of using magic or not if so what kind. so if you take the challenge I will pick my favorite's and put them in a story. all idea's welcomed how ever there is a catch if no one make's anything no one wins

Okay, so this is the species I came up with. The name of the species is Akuma no Me (Japanese for Demon's Eye), they look a lot like a pony, but the distinguishing factors are their eye, the Akume no Me, which gives the sclera a black color, their iris a red color, and the pupil pure white, and their demon-like horns protruding from the forehead. And this is a list of their abilities.
1: Akuma no Chikaku (Japanese for Demon's Perception) This ability slows the user's perception of time, allowing them to react to an attack way faster than a normal pony.
2: Akuma no Sakushi (Japanese for Demon's Illusion) This ability allows the user to manipulates the magic in the victim and messes with the victim's senses, making the victim think whatever the user wants them to, similar to an illusion.
3: Akuma no Rupu (Japanese for Demon's Loop) This ability allows the user to place a victim in an infinite loop of events forever, this ability is very versatile since the spell will not go away, even if the user dies.
4: Shinka Shita Akuma no Me (Japanese for Evolved Demon's Eye) When an Akuma evolves their Akuma no Me, they will unlock two unique abilities specific to them, but one ability that is shared among the Akuma no Me species is that they will obtain something called a Puppet, this Puppet will be a physical manifestation of the Akuma's magic in a special item or weapon, and they can call upon this weapon with a certain phrase such as "Release" or "Open" followed up by the Puppet's name.
5: Akuma no Gappei (Japanese for Demon's Merging) When a member of this species merges with his or her Puppet, they will unlock the absolute pinnacle of their magical capability.
6: Akuma no Gado (Japanese for Demon's Guard) This ability is a physical manifestation of the user's magic into the form of an anthropomorphic animal such as Manticores, Dragons, Timberwolves, etc. This state also has many evolved forms that are too much to list here.
Now, this species may be very powerful, but they have a few weaknesses that may seem trivial at first glance, but they are very consequential.
The first weakness is that if a member of the species uses the Shinkai Akuma no Me for an extended period of time without a break, they will go blind, the range where the Akuma will go blind after an extended amount of time is about 3 hours or more. Another weakness is that if a Akuma uses the Akuma no Rupu, then they will go blind in the eye they use to cast the spell immediately, and the spell can be broken if the victim knows who they are, so if you used it against someone like Rainbow Dash, it wouldn't work, since she already knows what she wants to be in life. A weakness regarding the Akuma no Gado is that when used for the first time, the user will experience excruciating pain all over their body. Two weaknesses regarding the Akuma's Puppet is that if the Akuma is not yet ready, the Puppet will take over his soul and kill him, and the same can be said if an Akuma merges with their Puppet.

I just realized that. Well, most of them are nomadic, they'll leave the village the species lives in deep within the North, far beyond the Crystal Empire, once they reach the age of 18. And they can't exactly use the Akuma no Me, or any of the abilities that come with it, right off the bat, the Akuma no Me needs to be triggered by an extreme emotion, whether it be anger, happiness, sadness, desperation, etc. The species will sometime refer to themselves as a clan, and they're mostly calm, only a few will have a very extroverted personality, they also prefer to be alone most of the time when they travel.

This is indeed quite interesting. I assume this means they live in the badlands. I do have some questions I thought I would ask.
1) How do they interact with the new changelings that occured when Thorax became their ruler and the species changed?
2) How do they deal with the Maulwurf, which I presume are also native to the badlands.
3) What is their culture like, I mean we know its nomadic, but do they use tents, dig holes to sleep in, or live in caves? Do they have a written language?
Sorry for all the questions. I'm quite curious.

1 they can't find thoraxes hive because they use stolen love to track their prey as it smells like burnt sugar to them
2 they don't really interact with the malwurf because they keep roaming but when the interactions do happen they just basically walk away from it
3 they just sleep on the ground no digging or caves unless its raining. and they don't have a written language that outsiders know of because they more often then not shoo outsiders away because when your prey shape shifts you learn to be wary of everything

2) Are they even aware of the Princesses and their roles?
3) Do they only feed on stolen love, or do they have some other food source?

5) Aside from being different are their any other reasons they have isolated themselves away from the other pony tribes?

4 strongest male and smartest female are the leaders and more often then not regularly challenge others to keep their skills up to par
5 yea they have a nasty habbit of of over doing it. let me explain lets say two foals are playing one is a Scorpiuus and one is a earth pony and they start fighting over who the best power pony is and do to the scorpiuus nature of strong better they may out right kill the foal to prove that thier favorite power pony is better. bonus fact about half of their young don't live to thier first birthday because of this
