    Hi.

I have good news! We finally figured out what was wrong. I’m in the process of getting it treated. It requires two surgeries, one of which I had two weeks ago. It went very well, I’m recovering nicely. The second surgery is scheduled for March 5th.

If you want to know specifics, read on.

    Hi.

I’ve had a few developments over the past week. Hard to say how major they are just yet. They’re each certainly significant in their own ways, but they each also have strings attached to them. I’ll do my best to explain.

Signal Boosts and Shout-Outs · 10:15pm Nov 30th, 2017

Writing can be hard sometimes. It’s solitary, it’s repetitive, it can be exhausting and feel unrewarding. It serves as an outlet for creativity, but it doesn’t yield immediate results. Halfway through a project, you can just sit there staring at the words you’ve written trying to plan out where the story’s going to go, fighting the feeling of being overwhelmed as you think about how much more you have to do. You try not to fret about how these hours upon hours of effort are going to be received by your readers, but you also try not to caught up in delusions of grandeur. You try not to inject too much of what’s going on in your personal life into your characters or story, but at the same time, it can serve as a source of realism to everything. You can be your own worst enemy as you battle your own perfectionism, procrastination, desire, personal feelings, and so many other things that I’m not even going to bother listing.

But I wouldn’t have it any other way. Despite all the difficulties and challenges that come with writing, despite how good or bad I actually am, there’s an intrinsic part of me that loves doing this. It scratches an itch that can’t be satisfied any other way—something I knew as a child but then put to the wayside... only to rediscover it later and feel like an idiot for not developing it more sooner. The desire to tell a story, to create and control, to develop and guide… that’s what writing does for me. Regardless of what happens in my life, regardless of where my interests lie, I’ll ALWAYS be a writer at heart. It’s just a part of who I am.

Passion, my internet friends. That’s what keeps you coming back to writing. If you don’t have that, if you don’t have that inner spark… well, you’re just putting words on a page, aren’t you? Regardless of skill level, passion is easy to spot in a writer’s work because it’s the main thing that captivates the reader.

I’d like to take this time to give some signal boosts and shout-outs to some other passionate writers. Over the last few years, I’ve had the honor of working and hanging out with some really cool and talented people, some of which I feel haven’t gotten the exposure they deserve. You’ve likely heard of a few of these authors (maybe even all of them), but if one person sees this and goes and discovers a new author they hadn’t known of before, then that’s a win in my book.

But enough of my rambling. Let’s get to the recommendations.

Bother
Story Themes: Macro, Growth, Hyper Pregnancy
Other User Profiles: Pastebin
Notable Stories: Embodiment, Daring Do and the Amulet of Graveeda, Saturn Sized Stripes and Stretchmarks

Holy moley, where to begin with Bother. I first found his snippets in a pastebin from /pony/ years ago and was immediately drawn in by his descriptions of growth and pregnancy. I loved his stuff so much I hunted for every scrap I could find across multiple platforms! I later met him in a chatroom, and after getting to know him a bit, we started collaborating to turn his snippets into something more.

Bother is an incredibly creative guy who’s fantastic at growth sequences. Whether it’s macro, preg, or whatever else, his descriptions will pull you in and keep you reading. He’s been wrestling with a BRUTAL writer’s block for a long time, but he’s finally broke through it and published a brand new story! It’s going to be a longer one by the looks of it, but it’s already got a great start (the growth sequence in Chapter 1 is top notch). I really, honestly mean this—I’ve never read sequences as descriptive and immersive as Bother’s. I can’t wait to see what he puts out next.

TheaWinters
Story Themes: Macro, Growth, Pregnancy, Vore, TF/TG.
Other User Profiles: Furaffinity
Notable Stories: Tania’s Boundless Appetite, Tania’s Unbound, The Gourmand, Better Than a Princess, The Dragoness' Hunger

I’ve known of Thea’s stories longer than any other author on this list. Not only did his stuff inspire me to write, it gave me some respite in a very dark time of my life. I first found his stories on sofurry, but much later (and to my great surprise) here on fimfiction! I immediately PM’ed him  asking if he was the same person, and after confirming he was, I proceeded to embarrass myself by fanboying all over him. Fortunately he laughed off my display, and we’ve been hanging out online ever since.

Thea is another one who’s awesome at growth sequences. His stuff isn’t exclusive to pony, but if you like the same kinds of things I like, then do yourself a favor and check him out (seriously he’s basically my senpai)

PacificSide18
Story Themes: Pregnancy, Pregnancy Expansion, Stuffing
Notable Stories: Impregnation Incantation, Stuffed Sweets, A Day In the Life of a Surrogate Nerd
A relative newcomer to fimfiction, Pacific’s a solid writer who’s got a knack for pacing and plot. He doesn’t do mature content, but if you don’t mind Teen or lower, you’ll definitely enjoy his works.

WiggleJigglesquiggle (aka BoundlessAnon)
Story Themes: Pregnancy
Notable Stories:Fallout Equestria: Boundless, A Collection of Cursory Clop Chronicles
BoundlessAnon made his debut with a really solid story: a FO:E sidestory starring an unnamed mechanic who encounters a trio of mutant alicorn sisters. Boundless, the most affable of the mutants, is heavily pregnant with twins and expected to give birth any day. It’s a good adventure story with lots of preg fetish content, and  there’s also some pretty hot sex at the end. It’s definitely a worthwhile read.

Cosmonaut
Story Themes: Macro, Growth, Pregnancy, TF/TG, Power Play
Other User Profiles DeviantArt
Notable Stories: Just My Type, Little Mare Big Family, Strictly Draconic, Hot Pink
I gotta give shout-outs to my man Cosmo. Not only has he written some of my favorite smut in the fandom, but he’s also still active in writing and art today. He’s particularly good at portraying size, power, and transformations, so if you like that kind of stuff, he’s definitely worth a look. Little Mare, Big Family was a collaboration between us (which I sincerely hope he continues the sequel for because the concept is hot as hell) so try and see if you can tell which parts I wrote, and which parts Cosmo wrote!

Regidar
Story Themes: Various
Notable Stories: Library Labor, The Inadequacy, New Upcoming Story
He may have more followers than both my fimfic accounts combined, but I can’t NOT mention Regi. Two and a half years ago, when I first published The Pregnant Princess’ Pesky Predicament, I got a PM from him complementing the story and the work I’d done on it. The PM was also an invitation—to join a chatroom for preg artists, writers, and enthusiasts alike. A haven of sorts to talk about and appreciate the topic of pregnancy; something I’d never, EVER had before. I accepted the invite, and not only have I been there ever since, that’s how I met nearly all the other writers on this list.

Regi’s works are pretty diverse, but he does have a few fetish stories here and there. He’s a very descriptive writer that focuses on details most others don’t, and I’ve always been surprised (not to mention jealous) at how much he can convey in so few words. On a sidenote, Regi also has a NEW pregnancy story coming that I’m really excited for! I won’t give anything away, but if you like the kind of pregnancy stuff I do, then definitely keep an eye out!
