Okay, first off, thanks to everyone for the feedback and faves for In Her Blood! Things seemed to have settled down now it's a few chapters in, and it's proving really fun to write. For the record, I know it's kind of a slow burner to start with, so massive thanks to you guys for being alright with what is obviously a pace change compared to the stuff I usually write. Things will imminently be getting more interesting, however!
Now, secondly, I'm not sure how many of you are familiar with UK exam shenanigans, but I've recently been buried beneath a bone-crushing mountain of A-level ridiculousness. (I swear if I ever posthumously meet Otto Van Bismarck I will punch the man in the face for being responsible so many goddamn historical facts.)
Anyway, fear not, this doesn't mean that In Her Blood is going on hiatus or anything, but it does mean that I'll be writing a little slower than normal. Currently I only have about an hour's free time at home on weekday evenings, and during that time I'm often pretty tired, which means I'm writing in chunks of a few hundred words rather than banging out 3000-odd words in a single session like I used to do with Bluebird. In many ways, that's a good thing, because it forces me to think about what I'm writing and ensure it's consistent, but it does bring the speed down a little.
In any case, chapter 4's about halfway complete, so that should be heading up sometime reasonably soon!
Thanks for your patience!

Ah yeah, good ol' Bismarck did a lot of stuff over here. Luckily, we only covered parts of what he did. Going over most of it? That'd be way too much for my tastes. *shudder*
431476 Just the mid-to-late 19th century unification stuff, it cuts off at about 1890 and only deals with the in-Germany stuff, but it's still pretty nastily in depth. It's interesting, just kind of brain-breaking after a while!
...Slowly we unfurl
As lotus flowers...
Sorry, just couldn't help remembering these lines. Take your time - there's no need to rush, just let the story unfold itself in its own mesmerizing pace. Guess that's what makes a real gem so precious - time taken to form it out of earth and rock. Sometimes I catch myself on a thought that I was even more interested in Rarity and Fluttershy romance development in "Bluebird" than the obvious TwiDash. Isn't that because of the slower pace and growing anticipation because of that?
However, I really enjoy "In her Blood", and even a long time to wait can't spoil it! Just make sure to take care of yourself and good luck on your studies!
Sleep is for the weak. Get back to writing!
I'm only kidding, of course. Take as much time as you need. We'll be here whenever you're done.
