Weekly NaNoWriMo Check In #1 · 3:47am Nov 8th, 2017
I am at 6,980 words so far.
Apparently, I'm just being all kinds of mean to Twilight. First I kill her for Nightmare Night, now she's the target of police brutality.
As if summoned by her defiant look into the mirror, the door to the interrogation room opened and four stallions dressed in armored vests and holding batons in their horngrips entered. One of them had bandages around his head and another one sported a nasty looking bruise on his muzzle, as if some pony with an exceedingly strong magical force had slammed him face first into some wet pavement on 7th Street a few hours ago. Twilight swallowed back more mucus and did her best to smile at the nice guards as they moved into a wide circle around her. One of the officers placed his baton on the table, the tip catching the small puddle her tears had formed. Freed up, the green glow coming from his horn transferred back to the door of the room and closed it. Twilight’s fragile smile faltered when she heard the lock reengage.
“Sorry it’s just us, Miss Sparkle.” The stallion with the bruise smiled, flashing purple gums and flecks of blood between his front teeth. “But Officers Gumhoof and Knicker couldn’t make it to escort you to holding, on account that you sent them down to General with that whole resisting arrest kerfuffle.” He picked up his baton again and spun it around in the air in front of her. “It’s a damn shame that you had to come all the way down here and through all this on that ankle of yours.”
Things are chugging along, folks. See you next week.
