Well Because Everyone's Doing it · 1:30am Oct 11th, 2017

As with every leak that's gone on under Hasbro's carelessness, everyone's talking all about the leaked episodes, including this season's finale. Having watched them before everyone started talking about them, guess the time is now, or late, to share my opinions.

For the first time ever, we finally get an animated appearance of Starswirl the Bearded himself, alongside all the other legends. While some might not like him, I personally find him enjoyable; this well renowned, yet naiive and stubborn pony in a new age, a new world. Amusingly, them being trapped for one thousand years before undergoing outside help does remind of Gargoyles. I'm not keen on his voice; while Patrick Stewart would be an excellent choice, John Rhys Davies would be a good choice as well (Again, just like what happened with Gargoyles).

This is also the first we have of the Pony of Shadows in an animated form, and his entrance is very well animated for a Flash cartoon. After some initial arguments from Starswirl, we find that the demon was indeed a pony; a... Paige(?) named Stygian felt betrayed after being kicked out of the circle and so like Eddie Brock became infused with dark magic and became the Pony of Shadows. And just like the symbiote, Stygian is freed of his curse, and the beast sent away to Limbo... or elsewhere. Now with the legends alive and in their prime... mostly, they can explore their world, see how much has changed in their absence.

And now there comes the question again: How does this fit with my universe of stories? But for that matter, my question is: Now that we know more about the Legends, including Starswirl, how did they meet and band together into this Justice League? What outside force got them to band together? First, let's talk about my Monsterverse crossovers.

Considering that I have planned that King Ghidorah would be the one to destroy all of humankind and unintentionally create Equestria, a few decades of chaos and destruction by other kaiju presents Princess Celestia, Luna, and Starswirl with an ultimatum to find the others and bring an end to this. Not wanting to bring casualties by destroying a large amount of land with a spell as powerful as The Oxygen Destroyer (hint hint), it would at this time that Starswirl finds and experiments on portal magic (he doesn't send two of his students to the Land Before Time in this continuity) . Leaving Discord to protect Canterlot, they gradually find the others and in no time at all do they focus their attention on King Ghidorah, depowering him and sending him away to a time long past.

Others soon follow, though some, namely Godzilla, are not so easily captured. Mothra, the Shobijin, and the Tagatu willingly sacrifice their home in Equestria.

The world since tamed, our heroes of the past celebrate, including being presented a show from a certain triad that caught me by surprise when I first watched it (and something that gives me a clear picture when I get back to their Toon Boom puppets). Among those enchanted by their song, Starswirl and Stygian are the first to snap out of it, getting the others to drown their song to no avail (while also creating other musical genres as well as described in one of the comics). In the Jongojiverse Proper, with no Kaiju ready to maim and destroy, this occurs first after the initial reboot and the legends earn their keep, meeting each other for the first time at Celestia's request given how Starswirl wasn't that knowledgeable in friendship.

The Legends and Princesses chased the Dazzlings throughout Equestria before sealing them into the human world. The rest regarding Stygians fate, or how the Elements are created is silence. But when the Princesses returned,

Discord already made the world his funhouse and so they two called upon the Elements of Harmony for the first time, and you all know the rest.

This does also show that in regards to The Elements, there are more than just the original six and has been that way since EG: Legends of Everfree.

From what I can gather and surmise is as follows in my headcanon so far

The Legends: strength, bravery, healing, beauty, hope, and sorcery

The Elements of Harmony: honesty, loyalty, kindness, genosity, laughter, and magic

Spike: unknown, probably sacrifice?

Sunset Shimmer: empathy

The Crusaders: determination (Apple Bloom), skill (Scootaloo), compassion (Sweetie Belle)

The Maximals: aether (Cosgrove), earth (Dapplewood), fire (Chelsey), water (Diver), and wind (Zipper)

And so that's my thoughts on the finale, and now to return to my work while the show is on hiatus.

the hype can be disappointing since most of the tv franchise sucked super bad as story wise.... the reason why the movie didn't make it because the story is super bad but, the animations were super great... I bet they'll make it soon but the story will suck in the end like they always do.

Why do you watch the show if the story is 'super bad?'

4694920
I do it for the graphics and improvement in animations. Its part of making a story in depth

So you'd play a video game that's crap just because it has good graphics? :unsuresweetie:

Is fallout four crap? that's the game I play these days...

Okay, let's just leave it at I like the show for everything, and you like it for the animation. Jongoji245 is right, we shouldn't fill up the comments section with replies. :applejackunsure:
