    The Mean Six

I just saw the latest episode The Mean Six, and... it occurred to me just how horrifying this would have been for the version of the main six from my story Harmonized, especially if they had found out what happened to Chrysalis's minions.

The Tree of Harmony doesn't f*ck around. :rainbowderp:

    Story Creation Not Working

Well, I story creation here isn't working for me. Have to wait for the staff to contact me or... something. If you still want to read my stories, I also keep them on my website.

    Terrible Trivium

I was trying to make an illustration for the last chapter of Returning Home, and Cloudsdale was in it, and... well, I meant to half-ass it by drawing a bunch of bumpy clouds and labeling it "this totally is Cloudsdale" (with discorded Rainbow Dash sitting on top) but then I was like, "Huh, I wonder how they got the inside corners of those clouds to spiral like that. You'd need

    Derpy's Eyes

Not saying that the show writers are totally reading my fanfics when they plan out their next season, but the show writers are totally reading my fanfics when they plan out their next season. Yep, that's basically the only explanation.

Story Creation Not Working · 7:08pm Sep 18th, 2017

Well, I story creation here isn't working for me. Have to wait for the staff to contact me or... something. If you still want to read my stories, I also keep them on my website.

Sorry, again. I was trying to publish a new story for everyone to read, but it just keeps sending me to the login page instead of creating the story, where I'm helpfully informed "You are already logged in!"

I uhm... don't really know how to report errors like this, outside of asking Knighty himself. He's "lead" developer, but there's no list of other developers, only just staff. Or are the two "Administrators" the developers? I guess maybe a random mod could have access to wherever they're secretly storing the error messages. Or is it only Knighty who's allowed to see those things? :fluttershysad:

I tried posting a message on their staff page so they all could see it. It's only been half a day so far, but I'm sort of stalled on updating until the response from that.

Of course creating new blog entries is working fine. :trixieshiftleft:

knighty and Xaquseg are the only two developers; I can try to get in touch with them if the error sticks around. Usually this error (well, getting kicked to login page, dunno if I've heard about it on story creation) is caused by some corrupted cookies from one of the updates at some point - you've tried cleaning everything out and relogging in fresh?

Yes, I logged out, cleaned out all my cookies and such, and localStorage, then logged back in again. I'll appreciate any help I can get, but I can work up to talking with them myself, I think...

Well, it's more that pretty much the only place they actually pay attention to complaints in a timely matter is on Discord, and I know you're averse to that. If it's not a cookies/localStorage issue I'm at a loss, though, sorry.

Ah, yeah Discord... so much worse than IRC, and everyone's so happy to announce that they're going to start using it.

If when there was an error submitting a form, it'd help if it actually displayed the error, instead of just redirecting me to the login page.

Oh, sorry, ferret; good luck. Which story is it, if you don't mind me asking?

"Ah, yeah Discord... so much worse than IRC, and everyone's so happy to announce that they're going to start using it."
Any idea why?

That's what puzzles me. I'd expect people would be like, "Well, I guess we could run Discord for now," but instead I see things like "Good news! We're shutting down all communication channels and switching to Discord!" I get that most people don't care who's controlling of their communications, as long as they remain unaware of that power being abused. But the cheerfulness bugs me. It just screams embedded marketing.

The story I'm trying to put here is "No Going Back."

Huh. Well, I've no intention or expectation of cheerfully bounding onto it anytime soon, at least.
Are people using the voice chat feature a lot? I imagine that could get impractical with a bunch of people jumping in, but without that, it's a question of what this does so much better about text chat than the many other text chat systems out there (IRC foremost in my mind).

"The story I'm trying to put here is "No Going Back.""
Ah, nice; thanks. :)

Without voice chat, it's just an IRC client!

Well, an arbitrary binary executable, that acts like an IRC client, and also like other things you aren't allowed know about, because it's closed source. Also locks you out from communicating with other competing clients, for no reason other than to make more people use Discord. And it forces everyone to use only one company's servers, where they sell your conversations and private messages to other corporations, who then analyze them to figure out what price to set that'll always keep you struggling financially. But basically an IRC client.

And even in a best case scenario where none of the spoilered stuff, amazingly, applies, it's presumably less potentially efficient at being a pure text chat program than something that is a pure text chat program.

I'm mentioning it here to increase the chances of you seeing it sooner, but I think I caught one plot hole in the third chapter of No Going Back and one plot hole shared between that chapter and the second of Returning Home. Details and suggested solution are in a comment on Returning Home.

Good chapter, though, if that needed saying. :)
