Greetings! I am pleased, although quite late in announcing that the re-writes of Chapter 1 - 8 of Finding a Place are complete and published. On review, I will probably be writing additional chapters but for now, I'm satisfied with what I've accomplished.
I don't want to get into spoilers here so this is deliberately vague. Each chapter grew in size by between 500 and 1000 words mostly thanks to the increased quality of descriptions and clarification of a few scenes. The main character's internal monologue has been cleaned up so a certain critical plot point is clear to the readers while remaining a mystery to the actual character. Most importantly, character development has been tidied up and the evolution of the relationships between the OC and the main characters is a far rougher road. I honestly believe the new chapters are a massive improvement on the original version.
Also, I want to give a big thank you to Nightshade1228 for taking the time to pre-read the new chapters. The end result wouldn't have been nearly as polished without that contribution. I hope you enjoy the improved chapters as much as I enjoyed writing them!
