I’ve recently noticed something, every single Legend of Equestria tend to have an interesting connection to one of the Mane six…

Twilight idolizes Starswirl.

Rainbow Dash, Applejack, and Rarity were inspired by Flash Magnus, Rockhoof and Mistmane respectively.

Pinkie Pie seems to have the same belief in leaps of faith as Somnambula…

And Fluttershy seems to take up Meadowbrook’s mask later…

The comics actually indicate that they’ve teamed up before…

That got me thinking, what if it’s not a coincidence?

What if the Mane Six are their…. reincarnations?

I have to admit, that IS an intriguing thought. I mean, obviously the show's unlikely to touch on that directly, but it is still some very interesting headcanon.

And, this little bit of irony has JUST occurred to me; if Twilight really IS Starswirl's reincarnation, then that would mean he/she actually helped raise and train the pony who is basically a second mother to Twilight.

And another little bit of an interesting tidbit that JUST dawned on me - it would ALSO mean that Twilight basically finished his/her OWN unfinished spell (I mean, yeah, maybe a thousand or so years later than he/she might have planned, but the point still remains).
