On the Earthquake in Mexico · 5:05pm Sep 9th, 2017
An 8.1 earthquake struck off the Southern Coast of Mexico, causing great damage and loss of life. 45 people alone were killed in Oaxaca. It is said that this is the strongest earthquake to hit Mexico in 100 years.
Complicating the rescue efforts, Hurricane Katia made landfall directly afterwards.
I hope very much that the recovery efforts go well and my sympathies are with the survivors who have lost their loved ones to this disaster.
An earthquake currently destroyed Mexico, a hurricane is right now giving it in the butt to Houston Texas, another hurricane (a category 5 mind you) is set to do much of the same to Florida as Harvey is doing to Texas... we have an idiot threatening the US with a nuclear missile strike (I'm not too worried about that one...), and the divide between both partying sides of the government in the US has gotten larger and larger.
Welcome to the beginning of the end, I suppose...

People are joking on Twitter that the Eclipse made this happen.

So has my mom! She verbatim told me the day of the first hurricane, "If we were still living in the times of the Indians, they'd think it'd have to do with the eclipse!"
In Spanish of course...
The earth is pissed and taking it's time dishing out the punishment.

I was really shocked to hear of it too. I couldn't believe it was so bad.
