Computer issues · 1:08pm Sep 2nd, 2017
After my computer freezing early yesterday, forcing me to do a hard reset, my computer is now running a little slow. On top of that, I can't even open my writing program, OpenOffice. Not even to uninstall it. I'm working on the issue, asking around...
I don't know what to do.
I can open Notepad, but that won't let me do as much formatting as OpenOffice could. I need to be able to write normally...
Yikes, I never had that issue with OO myself, so I have no idea what to tell ya. If I were trying to be funny, I'd say sacrifice something to the Tiki Torches, but really I just have nothing constructive to add. So I'll hope your tech issues clear up soon!
How big is your HDD or SSD? By hard reset do you mean reset windows completely as in repair install it?

I mean turn it off and on again. I may have used the wrong terminology.
And I don't know how to tell how big they are. My knowledge of computers extends as far as 'call someone who knows what they're doing.'

Hold your windows key on your keyboard (looks like a window pane by the alt key) and while holding it down press E and a explorer window will come up and show you your drive sizes and how full they are like this.

Hard shutdown then. I'd look up how to run a chkdsk on your pc, If you're running windows.
Sounds like a virus or a Trojan, when was the last time you did a full scan of your computer?
