    River City Equestria Girls?

Seriously, that's Pinkie Pie on the left, and Rainbow Dash on the right. Tell me I'm wrong.

I will not write a fanfic about the two of them getting into all the fights.

    Probably.

An "I don't have livejournal anymore" sort of update.

    It snowed yesterday.

Which just reminded me how much I don't like winter. It wasn't even a bad snow, just enough of a dusting to linger for a little bit. First one of the season. And I even had the day off from work, due to my schedule, so it's not like I had to do anything ...

    So I didn't.

    Happy Halloween!

So yeah. Despite various distractions (Steam had Darkest Dungeon for UNDER FOUR BUCKS), I've managed to hammer out a ridiculously shippy conclusion to the self indulgent Rarijack story I started.

So that's fun? I gave myself a deadline to finish things on Oct 31, so that's what I did, dangit. Hopefully you guys will enjoy.

An update, a new group, and some other musings! · 11:00pm Aug 9th, 2017

First thing, in case you haven't been paying attention (or in the more likely case that you probably don't care), I've posted another entry of Sentry at the Charge. As the third installment of my most niche series, I'm not expecting it to blow up the featured box, but I'm still having a lot of fun writing it. Plus, it kinda-sorta ties into my other work now-- woo continuity! People like that, right?

Also! Recently Mitch H put together a 'Pony Pastiche' group-- for those stories that don't quite fit the crossover niche. There's just a handful of stories and members so far, but it's still worth checking out. And not just for the Flash Sentry Papers. The Rummy Business of old Blooey is worth the proverbial admission alone.

I find it funny, though, as there are no less than two Ciaphas Cain/Pony mashups in the group, which is two more than I would expect. Of course, one isn't written in the first person, and the other is over three hundred thousand words long(!), so I ... may put off reading 'em. And I suppose there's a bit of crossover between 40k fans and bronies (read: nerds), so it shouldn't be surprising. Which has now got me vaguely curious as to other 40k/pony mashups-- I'm sure there are far too many SPESSH MUHRINES ARE BEST PONY fics on the site, but I'm not particularly inclined to investigate further.

Anyway, just thought I'd check in with my whole dozens of fans-- though I urge you all to stay tuned, as not only will there be more Flash Sentry Papers in the near future, but there may be some SPECIAL BLOG THINGIE in the next couple of weeks. It'll be super worth it!

Probably.

Oh dang, I've got at least one pastiche that could go in there! :O

Neat idea, though sadly the only two examples I can immediately think of (aside from the Sentry Papers) are already in the group.

Well, there is at least one good WH40k/pony mix on the site. Iron Hearts: Book 1 - Planetfall is the first of a series of five. It, however, is straight up crossover, so it does not belong in this interesting group you speak of.

Hey, thanks for piling in. I'm hoping I'll find a lot more to read this way. I've already founderstand a pretty neat Screwtape Letters pastiche, so it's been a great investment for me.

We were just debating just what order of pastiche a MLP Ciaphas Cain mash-up would be, since Flashman was already something in that vein, and then Cain is an obvious pastiche of that. At least third order?
