So 1st Blog Post... Also Chapter 5 Teaser

So this is my first blog post on FiMfic in... WOW, 5 years since I joined. Not the best way I wanted to start this at, but meh, whatever. The reason I'm posting this is because I wrote up a storm today. And considering my writing habits, 4k is a lot of words. The scene from chapter for just keep nagging and nagging at me to write it, so there's not much progress in the cover art. So here's a teaser to make up for it. For anyone who's there to read it, that is...

“Applejack! What the buck!?” Rainbow Dash yelled, limping over to her friend and shoved her hard from her spot on the log, causing her to tumble back. The cowpony didn’t resist the fall, and she meagerly propped herself up by her elbows after.

“You better explain yourself fast, or so help me, Colgate’s gonna be getting one heck of a surprise appointment for tomorrow!” The blue mare threatened in spite of her own injuries with a hoof cocked.

She winced in pain, nearly reeling back as she did her best to keep her bad wing from flaring up with her emotions. The fillies stood by me, frightened beyond anything they had seen until this point, their emotions literally painted on their faces in my eyes. Yours truly only ever deigned to grace a thin line, unfeeling and stoic as can be. I knew, for this just wasn’t it either. I was just thankful no pony had noticed how out of character I was.

Moments passed and not even a peep came out of Applejack, her eyes listless and mouth still agape like a fish out of water. “Say something, you bucking rotten apple!”

At her unresponsiveness, the pegasus let loose a backhoof that knocked the stetson of her friend’s head. The action caused the fillies to reel, the yellow one, who I assumed was the farmpony’s sister, being held back by her friends.

“Applejack! Rainbow, please--!” I cut her off with a hoof.

“No,” I said, locking my gaze with hers. “Let this happen... This needs to happen.”

Also, I wish the old drop down spoiler was back. It's a lot easier to handle than the censor spoiler. Anywho, I said to myself that if I broke 4k I would post a teaser, and I just hit 4.5k now. At this rate, maybe the 5th chapter will be up middle of next week. But that's not taking int the glance reviews for SFG I might be doing tomorrow as well. Well, I'll see what happens.
