Sympathy Series Side stories #2

Hey y'all,

Well I've got a second bit from my old drafts for you to look at. This time concerning Applejack. There's one medium-sized spoiler for the later chapters of DiH, just so you know.

But thankfully, you can safely expect a new Side Story entry every Tuesday until Hermione Granger's birthday (Sept. 19) over on my tumblr. I'll be linking to each blog entry here every week so those who don't follow me on there can read them if they so choose.

I have to wonder how much story you have scrapped for DiH at this point.

Well, with how long it's been taking me to finish it's to be expected. It's not so much scrapping really so much as going a different direction. In streamlining the story I realized that the letters from everyone weren't really needed. They were more for me to get a sense of where everyone was and show how far the chaos magic's influence had spread. The latter could be gleaned from Discord's and Celestia's POV, and while it's nice to know The former, in the end that info wasn't crucial to the main story.
