RWBY Blind Run - Season 1 (no spoilers) · 12:47am Jul 25th, 2017
With the recent announcement of RWBY being in a crossover with BlazBlue, Persona 4 Arena, and... I keep wanting to say Undertale, but I know that's not right...
Anyway. I've given in to curiosity and decided to watch it from the beginning, doing a binge-watch of the seasons, one per day. TV Tropes is temporarily blocked, so no spoilers, please. I'm going in blind, here.
Just finished season 1. Pretty cute series so far! I like team JNPR, they're a cute group. And I think Jaun and Pyrrha are freakin' adorable. Ruby's won me over immediately, Weiss I'm starting to warm up to, and Yang and Blake are both interesting characters as well.
I want to smack that one guy... um... whatshisname. Ruby kicked his ass in the first episode. He looks like a reject from A Clockwork Orange. Apparently works for a fireball chick.
EVERY WEAPON IS ALSO A GUN. I love it.
Season 2 tomorrow. Can't wait!
No spoilers BUT!
You need to watch the Red, White, Black, and Yellow trailers ASAP (they're Volume 1 prequels), after Volume 3 you need to watch RWBY Chibi 1, then the Ruby character short, and after Volume 4 you can start on RWBY Chibi 2 (and they're also releasing three character shorts between now and the start of Volume 5 in October, they already released the Weiss one).
Also, fair warning, there will be RWBY spoilers in my fic (Not) Black and White, so you may want to avoid that till you get past V4.
The one Clockwork Orange looking dude is named Roman Torchwick. I actually like him.

The Volume 5 teaser takes place before the White Trailer but Knight needs to wait until after Volume 4 to watch it. Also Chibi is non-canon so he can watch that after he watches the rest of the series.

I mean yeah, he could skip chibi, but... come on, man, I'm trying to lend him a hand here.
Oh! Forgot to mention: there is a video game (RWBY: Grimm Eclipse) but it's about as canonical as Equestria Girls is to MLP:FiM. That is to say, it theoretically takes place between V2 and V3, but it has yet to be mentioned in canon. You can definitely skip that. (I haven't even gotten past the first level!)

He's my favorite character personally.
I think everyone and their mothers ships Arkos, and for good reason. RWBY just keeps getting better and better with each season, though Volume 4 was much more character and lore-focused than I expected given the action-heavy Volume 3. Ruby herself is adorable and I love her, but it's hard to pick a favorite among Team RWBY since they've all grown on me over the years. And Torchwick....Torchwick is just a fun villain. He's stylish, he's got a stylish weapon (even by Remnant standards), and he's just got a fun personality.
And RWBY Chibi is....a thing. It's kinda cute, but grows old very quickly, in my opinion.

Personal opinion season 4 was not good at all :-/ I was thoroughly unimpressed with nearly every aspect of it. Was very pretty though

Fair enough. It was a big set-up season with not a lot of action going on, though the fight scenes we did get were very nice. I will say, though, that I don't think the whole "Tyrion poisoning Qrow" thing was done that well. It really looked like Qrow was going to die after the exposition episode, but he just conveniently held on until they got to Mistral. Now, I'm glad he's still alive since I really like Qrow, but I think it could have been written a bit better.I think my favorite part of that season was Ren and Nora's backstory and Ren's...redemption, let's call it, against that Grimm. I also liked the shiptease between the two; it was cute
It's not spoilers if I say you're gonna wish you've started watching it a long time ago, is it?
