CMPC Vacation 2017: After the Fact

Well I am sure you are all waiting on this (well some of you maybe lol). Just got back home a few hours ago from the Crystal Mountain Pony Con and let me say, once again I had a blast! Went to a lot of fun panels, met more community guests, even talked to some of the ones I met last year like Dr. Wolf. Also got plenty of good loot. Mostly prints and drawings this year, but a few other random things as well. Anyway, on to the photos! For those on mobile beware as there are a fair amount of them. See them after the break.

First of all, some of the better photos from the zoo Anna and I went to the day before Ponycon.

Check out this handsome little Sandcat. I love these guys!

And this majestic beast enjoying a cool dip in his pool.

An Amur Leopard cub, about 4 months old. Isn't he darling?
*cough* nope, the kitties are not my favorites, not at alllll.... they were just the ones willing to pose the most. Yep, that is it. *cough*

And now on to Ponycon pics!
Here we have our lovely couple, relaxing on the couches provided while we waited to be able to get our passes and head into the fun!

Wasn't able to get any good pics of opening ceremony because the lighting in the room was bad for my camera (really should get a new one, have had it for six? or so years and am always getting upset at it when taking indoor photos.) But this year I found some more of my doppelgangers, of course, we took photos together.

My outfit didn't change much from last year, mostly because it was VERY hot and since a lot of the new stuff was makeup, it would have just melted off anyway.
Next, I met up with Toonkriticy2k. He was very nice and fun to finally meet.

Was in panels the rest of the day, so didn't get any more pictures. So on to day 2!
Sadly, none of the photos for the cosplay contest turned out well. (I blame, once again, the poor lighting in the room.) But I got other photos! To start, the first view of my R63 Shiny Whistle (Silvered Whistle) costume!

(Just missing the shoes and wig. Got the ears and horn this year as part of my loot.)
Then I found this stunning Gala Rarity. Isn't that dress just beautiful?

Met up with Lightning Bliss next, and another photo with toonkritic.
As we were leaving, I stopped to take a picture of this beautiful drawing of our con's mascots, Salt Lick(the brown one) and Salt Flats.

Alas, if only ponycon could go on forever, but we had to return to reality. Shiny looks out as we drive home, reminiscing about our fun, while Chrysalis napped away most of the con. (Hence why she is in so few pictures. You don't wake a sleeping changeling just for a picture!

And since I have so many photos already, I think I'll put the loot photos in a different post. Look forward to part 2! :D
