Happy Birthday Claire Corlett · 1:45pm Jul 9th, 2017

Today is Claire Corlett's birthday, she is the young woman who voices Sweetie Belle, and more recently has voiced a couple of other characters in the show (including Surprise the unnamed in show Wonderbolt).

With today being her eighteenth birthday, Claire is now officially an adult. Of course, when she was brought on to initially record her lines she was still a kid alongside Michelle Creber. Worth noting is that Claire wasn't Sweetie Belle's singing voice until Season 4, prior to that Michelle Creber pulled double duty as the singing voice for both Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle. Claire is also the daughter of Ian James Corlett, a Vancouver voice actor in his own right. Among his roles, Ian was the first English voice of Adult Goku in Dragon Ball Z, Bill in Sitting Ducks, and of course Silver Shill in the episode "Leap of Faith".

Happy birthday, Claire. You've been an excellent voice of Sweetie Belle over the years and I hope you'll continue to impress us.
