So, after careful consideration, I've decided that the closing ch of the book will indeed be split into two parts. The first part is now drafted and on my good buddy's desk awaiting his Divine Hammer of Editing Justice! 
I've also decided that instead of publishing this first part now once it's polished up, I will wait to publish until both parts are completely done so that there's no break between the release of two halves of the same chapter (that also happens to be the ending of the first book. *sunglasses*
