Lately I’ve been considering the possibility of leaving this site. I haven’t written anything in over a year and every time I try to no inspiration whatsoever comes. And with Make You’d Mark effectively cancelled… I just don’t know anymore.

So here what’s got me tripped up. Here’s the dealio. I still have 1 or 2 ideas for fics that I like. Though 1 I’m not sure peeps would care for cause it’s not really an mlp fic per se, more a retelling of another IP with mlp characters replacing the original ones, and of course there’s my own spin on it. The other one is a g5 fic that’s also a longer fic, but I just can’t quite grasp how to go about it. If anypony here (yes I’ll still use that lingo here after all these years) wants to give an opinion message moi and I can show you what I have. My staying on the site may hinge on if these fics can rekindle my spark(le. Hehe quoting Izzy)

Well, first we should consider what you want or expect from those stories. Do you get motivated by feeeback, praise and attention for your stories or more by being creative itself.
If you write for yourself and want to be creative, go for the g5, much stuff to be creative with, like all the other species who haven't showen up yet, old place like the peaks of peril or the mild west to rediscover. Also it is liked amoung the readers to a degree so a bit of attention would come with it.
If you need the fandoms feedback and attention however, go for a hie story, I dislike them personally, but humans in equestria is even bigger than the clopfics group nowadays, people desire such stories in recent years more and more.
For another IP just with mlp characters, well, it works only well if the ip is well known and compatible. Warhammer, Star Trek, Mass Effect, such stuff. If you chose a smaller ip you may get no attention for it and also you are limited by the original ip's worldbuilding to a degree.
