Love and Its Breeds

Who am I kidding, that's too funny not to ignore
So, I was sitting in traffic today, bored, watching people toe the speed limit and this is usually when I think of Shattered Skies. I further develop things that may not be up to par. I once again rounded back to love and the different kinds in the story. I came home and dressed out to run and fell deeper into thought.
Skyfall is a little shit to some of the characters. I love it, but I was reviewing how I set up each of the relationships and just wanted to put it down in words for everyone. It's no mystery that I'm going slow and trying to make things count. The relationships that Skyfall has or will get into are attempted realistically. Or as real as magical cartoon ponies can get.
Each of these are just thoughts and with an evolving story, some characters may change or not. Just accept this like you would if it were a docudrama. Facts in how they are, but romanticized.
Fluttershy and Skyfall dated briefly and they do what couples do behind closed doors. I try to explain my story without cursing, but that doesn't soften what actually happens. It'll come out in the story in detail, but they may or may not have done the dirty and it may or may not be a point of contention. Spirits fall to the whims of lust as do the rest of... humanity? Yeah, let's go with that.
Skyfall has different levels of love for the others, but in mostly different ways. Twilight is pesky and he plays with her and enjoys it, even if she doesn't. Rarity, I feel, holds Skyfall as an object of a misguided Mcguffin in a way. I show bits and pieces where she is fond of him, then flip flops at times. A relationship between them would only ever be physical as I believe Rarity is too boutique driven to love who Skyfall is and that isnt even including Skies.
I've read many stories on the site, which prompted me to start writing, and in them I almost always read relationships where the characters were having sex up and down the walls the instant they got home, on the counter, on the sofa, in the shower, on camera all the time saying it wasn't me. Yes, those are lyrics. I mean, it's not super crazy to read a story and the characters have a physical relationship, sometimes that happens. one or both parties only want to acts and none of the romance. But it gets old. Many of the written relationships in stories only exist to justify the sex.
Skyfall and Fluttershy were like that in a way. They liked each other but the love was weak. I'm not really a clop writer so I haven't written that scene, it was one of those "So that happened" things. Starts out drinking tea, then washing the dishes, an offer to help wash, then accidental hoof touching, a kiss, then the above stated lyrics.
Other love is like the quiet love Applejack and Skyfall share. A familial love. Since Big Mac left, Skyfall helps out and has taken her under his wing to teach her like she were a daughter or a niece. I've long thought Applejack would be the best fit for Skyfall. There's no doubt in my mind that they would live happily. However, they wouldn't. Skyfall has secrets, that's who he is. Applejack can handle that he has mysteries in his life, but Skyfall lies at times and that would get between them, so he would have to change for her as she would have to for him.
Rainbow Dash is a prime example of unrequited love. Funnily enough, I have the most experience with this. I knew someone years ago who was just like Rainbow Dash, even down to speech. Love was only ever one-sided. So I turned it into a story device. Skyfall is no stranger to love and he knows when someone wants another for the "I conquered them" feeling. Pony and human Rainbow Dash aren't the same and so far I've had a blast writing Skyfall's and Rainbow's interactions.
Pinkie Pie is difficult. The only thing I can really put into words there is she trusts him enough to be herself around him.
Many of the others are self explanatory. Cadance is his daughter so it's unconditional and Luna is near daughter status after being his student and knowing eachother for so long. Shattered hates to admit it, but he likes the father status. Which comes into play later when certain things unfold. Vagguuuue.
Sunset Shimmer. In my strict opinion, one of the best characters in cartoons (not including anime.) She is trying to redeem herself and stay redeemed and not fall down a dark path. She is in a unique spot in the story, she was born in Equestria so she knows all the biases and stories, but has lived in the human world outside of continued influence.
And now it's late. I'll try and get stuff like this out more, it's nice to write about it 
I notice that unlike all your other examples, you didn't actually describe the nature of her relationship to Skyfall. Instead, you simply gave us your thoughts on her as a character, despite the fact that relationships are the obvious theme of this blog post. Was this intentional, or an oversight?

The others for the most part have been described and only have development to show in stride whereas Sunset and Sky's has only been hinted at or hidden altogether, save the dance they shared. I like how it's written so far in the unreleased chapters so Id like to save that discussion until later.

It's a between chapter event. So between chapters 33-34-ish. I have a slightly sad moment in my headcanon regarding their love scene where they bang but they arent together yet. But again, I'm not a clop writer and opted to omit the scene since it didnt hurt anything.
