The edits seem to have stayed which means im going on to the next chapter which should be out in the next day or 2, it's a beefy one so I gotta go over it a couple times. So, end of the line, kinda~

I've been quiet for the past few months so I figure it's time to at least say something. I'll try to get right down to the point and not bore you with needless stuff. I'm still interested in my stories and the show itself, but it's my interest in the fandom that's nearly gone.

    The Hanged Man

    Not an overly important blog

I pay attention to what you all say in the comments and after this last chapter I have seen some concern regarding the ending of chapter 46.

Story Ending · 11:08pm April 25th

Hi! It's been quite a while and for the longest while I have REALLY wanted to do a rewrite or to continue, but tonight in my further development of my IRL dnd campaign and the reading of comments on the story that I'm sorry to say have severely neglected I regret to say that this story is now a part of my history and no longer part of my identity. I have accepted much responsibility irl as an investigator and inspector and what energy I have after work is spent on projects or dnd.

This being said, I wanted to outline what I had planned in a half hearted attempt to bring closure to the story as to do it proper justice it would take another 300,000 words and I don't have that in me.

So, in goal of closure, what I have below is the original outline that I have thought many nights over:

The story left off on a prelude to a battle. This battle would see the severe depletion of Skies spiritual energy through the use of the sunset effigy, using it to defeat fury and not only blind him but permanently cripple him by way of a savage use of Sky dipping his antler in molten silver to stab him through the eye; this would lead fury to start a journey of self reflection as the father would discard him after. The creator would have Skycling to life after the battle but ultimately all the spirits in the human world cross as the walls crumble to stop the advance and some of these spirits rushed to major cities to televise the action. The father would appear and Sky would use the last of the effigy to basically blast him back through the portal and continue the blast clear on to the ocean a few miles away. The zombie creatures are stopped by skies as it was revealed that it was his research that led to their creation as he was looking to revive the alicorns, ultimately leading to the creation of the effigy, now depleted.

With the land and forest so irrevocable destroyed, borders were hard to see and Ponyville was annexed into Farhavens outer limits placing it under immediate protection as 2 siblings and their waring ways continued. The 4th sibling, being Unfaithful, defected to Skies side at the behest of her sister, Psalm.

After the battle conversations would happen and society and past histories would begin to heal and education from knowledge spirits would start. In doing so, Celestia would then be called into question and imprisoned by Skies and the other major spirits and a council would be called to determine what punishment would be enacted. As Skies has always felt responsible for both her and her sister he would defend them both as Celestia likely knew Cadence's true identity, but protected her always.

Celestia attempts to shout down all the spirits but the castle is nearly shaken to pieces by the major spirits using their own power and version of the canterlot voice. It was determined that the truth of what happened at the city of Alicorns must be seen and that judgement would be postponed. The journey would take place but Skies would be skyfall for the journey and Celestia would not know that major spirits were in tow, believing she was being sent to her death.

A journey to The Alicorn city would begin, following to each of the major cities and shenanigans with other spirits and immortals, even a visit to Skies inner world that saw all manners of plants and animals along with their caregivers, mortals that chose to, or were contracted to, live in his realm. Applejacks parents were in Harvest's realm, which is why granny smith hates spirits.

Along the way, the lies get to fluttershy and that relationship respectfully ends but sunset's begins as she accepts him and the secrets; ultimately it works for them and Sunset is made immortal after the series end, much like some of skies' other companions not mentioned.

Once at the alicorn city, celestia feels validated as the city is suspended in time, between the very real aftermath of zombie, deformed alicorns and mist-like projections of the past. In following these ghosts, Celestia bears witness to Skies' biggest failure and scare, the death of her mother. In seeing this vision she now sees that it broke Skies and that was the origin of the black vines that consume all life; black spirit magic only occurring when the human spirit in this world becomes tortured and laid bare. She follows him until she sees him move into a pantry to two young alicorns, seeing the resulting memory spell causes hers to become undone through her own tears. She then sees that Skies was a secret mentor for her through much of her younger life and even who he transformed into: Skyfall.

As she returns to the ship, she sees everyone waiting expectantly, Skyfall sitting by himself and looking out at the bay where he and celestia's mother would fish. Celestia would sit next to him and only say thank you. In that, Skyfall would transform into Skies and nod, accepting Celestia's resting of her head. Obviously this is followed by everyone else transforming and to some pretty funny realizations.

Skyfall and the gang make their way to Prance to join the spirits at a global fest that ushers in the new age of spirits living WITH mortals. This is a trap as Lonely Grave has an undead army under the city. As a fight pops off, the spirits and mortals hold their own and each spirit brings their full force to bear including hidden magics and even monsters thought to be extinct. As the catacombs collapse, a combined effort from each elemental the father attempts to possess Cadance as their blood is family but is instead rebounded to Skies, their consciousness swaps but Skies was able to anticipate the action after he and Graves battle a year prior in the battle for farhaven, ultimately being his research his father was using in reference to soul transference. In attempting the possession, the father was forever trapped in the effigy and soul was crystalized in a looping death which causes the father's own life force to eat him. leaving him the a cold words repeated when he originally died about no one missing him.

At the end of the story, a vote is taken and Celestia is banished for a term not less than 1300 years. She is banished to the world the spirits were. Skies amends to a successful vote that she remain in the world but is banished from memory for 1300 years, meaning that she must live in obscurity and that nothing, be it person or text acknowledge her. This being one of two last gifts as she can still see Luna.

The end-end seeing people living happily except the siblings: Graves is dead (burned), river is dead (stabbed by cadance with silver sword), unfaithful (bound to disguise and helping fix world), Fury (crippled and walking a path of redemption). Cadance is remarried to shining armor who is a little freaked out his mother in law technically pretended to be his wife. Cadance is High Queen of Farhaven and is deeply loved for who she is by everyone, she adopts a demeanor more like her father and puts wellfare of the people before her own.

Skyfall decides to go into exile as his family caused so much death and that Crystal alone along her own path of healing is who Cadance truly needs; her and under the magical tutelage of Luna. As he prepares a small sloop outside the kingdom borders after his own goodbyes, the other exile, Celestia (disguised) talks about being in the boring city and dealing with the hustle and bustle. Skyfall only offers that he isn't going anywhere comfortable but that she's welcome along for the ride. Skyfall, Celestia, Sunset, and a few members of Skyfall's inner circle kick the ship into gear and they fly out into the moonlight.

This is my original ending. Very unpolished and obviously a lot less words. But through hardship enemies forgive eachother to unite against the real problem, but it took understanding to do so. I began writing to work through my own issues and for all the bad, the universe did help. If you've read through the story and this I deeply thank you and wish you luck.

ps if you see me around im grabbing stuff from my folders. <3

Hey dude nice to see you around again. Hope you are doing well.

Good evening, and good night.

Thanks for the conclusion. Not every dropped/unfinished story gets one, and this was nice to see.

Ambitious, too.
This would have been quite a few mouthfuls to read chapter-wise, to say nothing of actually writing them!

So long, and thanks for all the ponies.
