Have a tiny excerpt:
Nightmare Moon stood in the crossroads, regal and horrific in equal measure. Wings draped around the mare like a cloak, the long primary feathers fading to nothing before touching the dirt that embraced Chrysalis. Hooves armored in cobalt plating hovered just off the soil, not so much as a shadow of the Mare in the Moon even touched the ground, but her gaze weighed heavily on Chrysalis.
Chrysalis averted her eyes. She could not bear the disappointment in that look. She turned her multifaceted eyes on herself, and felt a hint of Nightmare Moon’s abject hatred of her weakness. No longer did her exoskeleton glisten. No longer did her mantle of spiders web hair grace her crown. Gone was the green tint along her abdomen, her wings small and their edges tattered. She was once again but a changeling and no more a Queen.
Nightmare Moon’s blessing was revoked.
I'm...70%-80% done with this. Next I just need to figure out what I want the cover art to look like. Last time I used Chrysalis, I used just her little crown thing, and NMM's last go around used her eyes. I don't really want to fall back on those. We'll just have to see how the Muse takes me when I get to that stage. Depending on how these files continue to go, I might finish up the writing portion tonight.
I've been hella busy with writing this past week, so I'm well on pace to pass last month's total production and push my daily average up above the bar I've set for myself. Work on other projects is moving pretty good, but I've really dug how I'm putting together this Crackshipping. Very atmospheric and scenery porn-y, taking a big draw on various mythologies. It's been a good break from the other stuff, so I should be all fresh ready to jump back into the more mushy stories by the time I wrap this up.

I like this a whole lot. Need/want an editor for that? My writing is going terribly and maybe looking at something else will help my brain rejigger itself.
