I just caught a news flash on TV about the Harry Potter books...
Apparently, the FIRST book (The Philosopher's stone) as an ERROR on Page 53. "1 Wand" appears TWICE.
And according to the news, if your book has THAT typo in it, THAT book could be sold for THOUSANDS of dollars.
Of course, requirements have to be met with to show just HOW rare or valuable the book is. That is as follows.
1. The publisher must be listed as Bloomsbury at the bottom of the title page.
2. The latest date listed in the copyright information must be 1997.
3. The print line on the copyright page must read “10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1”, ten down to one, exactly. The lowest figure in the print line indicates the printing. (For instance, if your copy has “20 19 18 17”, it’s a less valuable seventeenth printing.)
4. The book must be printed in the UK, not Canada, Australia or anywhere else.”
And... what do you know... looks like professional Beta readers and Editors AREN'T perfect after all. This could go a long way towards the "You're only human" saying."
Huh, interesting. So is that only in British copies of the book? I'm guessing so given that it's cited as "Philosopher's Stone" up there.

No, mine's Canadian published and IT has the error, so even if it's not FROM the UK, it can still be worth something big. I'm just holding it for now.
Those up there are REQUIREMENTS to guarantee you a sure-thing, but if your copy of the book has the error in it anyway, hold onto it anyway, it could still be worthy.
