"You're not a burden, my love" Simon comforted his partner, Prince Lucian. "You're all 7,634,420,069,142,002,387,487,862,912 stars in my sky, Luce. And I love how brightly you shine"

Simon's Exodus: Part 3 · 5:34pm Jun 10th, 2017

This is the third part in this story... I'm pretty sure that part 4 or 5 will be the last... but IDK. It starts in the morning of the day after the previous two parts, so Simon has now officially just come of age... at seventeen. (It's fiction. Deal with it.) In case you didn't know, this is 400 years in the future, so if the "800 years ago" part is confusing, that's why I said it instead of "400 years ago" OK?

And so the two of us, by which I mean Theodore and I, begun managing the setup for the play... and "managing" for us was basically just telling the other people what to do and watching them do it. Ah, the life of a prince. I sighed whilst thinking to myself. Anyway, the managing went along smoothly and before we knew it, it was time to put on the show. And like the Shakespearean plays from 800 years ago, this one began with a sonnet.

What heavens lie beyond thy silver veil
In which thy face is hidden by the night?
What sort of fantasy or fairytale
Is being told by beauty's fading light?

Is it a story with a happy end
Or one that endeth only in despair?
The heart of dragons seeketh to pretend
That flowers of the moon are in the air.

This pair of star-crossed lovers cometh forth
And deep within the caves their secret lies
For there exists a monster in the north
Who makes himself appear in clear disguise

What heavens lie beyond thy silver veil?
And what will happen in this fairy tale?

Now for the actual dialogue of the play... I wrote most of it, and I tried to use that ancient magic touch that William Shakespeare had... but I couldn't quite capture his... essence. So that's where my brother came in. I gave him the star role for more reasons than just making sure Lana didn't continue to lust after me. I wrote that role specifically for Theodore. And the first scene was the one where his character, Dragonheart, met... Moonflower. Dragonheart and Luminelle were walking down a starlit path to a forest clearing, looking for Duplicati, the monster who could change shape and create clones of himself.

"And what do we have here, dear Luminelle?" Theodore... or Dragonheart... asked his friend as the two of them saw the body of a princess just lying there on the ground. "No beast of otherworldly origin, but rather something of a princess... well?"

"I see no foul beast, but a greater sin." Lune... or Luminelle... responded. "A sin thou knowest as demonic lust. Fair Dragonheart, dost thou forget our goal? To findeth Duplicati and Shadestar? If thou dost find this princess on patrol, then thou must keepeth her in sleep afar."

"No ordinary girl this princess be." Dragonheart told Luminelle. "She may know well the farings of the beasts. The ones who terrorize our harmony, and threaten to turn us into their feasts."

"O, very well then, if thou so desire," Luminelle replied. "But knoweth that the darkening is strong. So call upon the great and holy choir, and see if she awakens with their song."

This is my part. I thought to myself. Well mine and a few others' part. The choir consists of Jaydove, (played by me) Riverowl, and Phoenix... hardly a choir if it only has three members, but that's what we called it.

And that's all I could think of for now. Part 4 will have the choir I just mentioned (whose names are me, my sister Angie, and me again basically) singing a song you may or may not recognize... Midnight Sky. I sung it in a few of my Twitch streams, and posted the lyrics on my blog before, but I think I might have changed the lyrics once or twice... anyway, hope you enjoy, and as always...

Stay fly, my friends

This is pretty good, and I believe you even got Shakespeare's iambic pentameter in the sonnet.

That's what I was going for. That means so much to me that someone noticed... especially you. 16 Star Points for you. (✨ x 16)

4567032 It's just something I remembered learning about him and his plays in tenth grade English. Glad to have made your day.
