Episode reviews: Uprooted/ Between Dark and Dawn/ A Trivial Pursuit

Okay, quick talk about three episodes. I know I haven't been doing these weekly but I am behind on mlp. Season 8 wasn't... as good as I would have hoped so I stopped keeping track each week. My bad. Season 9, from what I've seen, has picked up the slack. So there's some positive. I'm going to try and watch at least 2 or 3 episodes a day until I get caught up. Don't worry, I'll be ready for the

Episode Review: Father Knows Best/School Raze

    1: Father Knows Best

Well this is it folks. I have finally finished season 8.... I think it's my least favorite season. Not entirely bad, but just not as good as others. I'm surprised really. I never thought I'd see a day I'd like a season less then season 4 but here it is. So let's start off by going over the last two episodes of this season shall we?

New Chapter coming soon (The Greatest Treasure/Fate Pony)

Heyo everyone. It seems I've got my writing mojo back. Well now I've finally started the next chapter of TGT and my Fate pony fic. They should be done by the weekend if not tomorrow. I hope it'll be worth the wait.

    (Spoiler review) What Lies Beneath

Still need to catch up on season 8. Don't worry. I won't be out of the loop once season 9 ends. I plan on binging the show until then. So hopefully I'll get a review done a day. So let's start with this one.

{Shimmerverse} Troodon Units 1 · 11:21pm Jun 7th, 2017

1: Infantry

The basic soldiers of the lands of Troa. Their devotion to their people and to that of Celestia is second to none. Their standard armor allows and weapons enhance their already deadly killing features and make them soldiers many would not want to meet on the battlefield.

2: Fanatics

Fanatics are Troodon who have given up all sense of self preservation. They will fight to the last breath and take as much punishment as they can before they fall. Their sense of pain has been dulled so much that they won’t register a blow that would cause most to go into shock from the pain. Their bodies are enhanced by magic to go at it for longer periods of time and are swifter and stronger then their fellow Troodon. Fanatics don’t wear armor into battle as they are sure of their victory and wish to die in the name of Celestia.

3: Sun Priests

Sun Priests in the lands of Troa are beings of immense magical might. Their powers are solar based and can both heal their allies, while burning their foes to a crisp. Their powers rival that of Sun Priests of Equestria, in some cases being more powerful then the Equestrian standard due to their faith in the solar equine goddess.

4: Solar Cannon

Solar Cannons are the artillery of choice for the Troodon. They would rather use the sun’s own might to destroy their enemy then a cold clump of metal. Solar Cannons draw power from the sun and fire balls of sun magic into enemy forces, incinerating a great number with each blast and melting enemy artillery or other heavy units. During night battles, Troodon use stored sun gems to power the weapon and keep it going.

5: Triceratops

Used as line breakers and troops transports, Triceratops can easily crush any creature that gets in their way. Their horns will puncture large enemy units and force them to the ground so they may kill them as they please. Atop them are usually a number of riders that will stab and fire into the enemies down below that try and bring their beast down.

6: Tyrannosaurus

Large beasts of immense power and ferocity, Tyrannosaurus’ are amongst the most deadly creatures in the Troodon army. Their massive frames allow them to have thick hides, which the Troodon add upon with minimal armor to make it hard for any foe to bring them down. Their strength allows them to crush and bite their way through any unit that finds their way into the view of these mighty beasts.

7: Warriors of Quetzalcoatl

While the Troodon mainly worship Celestia, they also worship a number of other gods due to Celestia’s insistence. One of these gods is Quetzalcoatl {who is not a fan of the wild beasts of chaos that take his name and image}. Troodon who worship him are gifted wings and take to the skies to fire and crash down on unsuspecting enemies as well as use their inherent wing magic to blow them off their feet.

8: Cipactli

These large crocodilian beasts can easily swallow enemy infantry with their large mouths. Their loud roars can shatter the confidence of their fellows as these beasts make their way through enemy lines. They are quick on land and quicker in the water, surprising their foes when they least expect it.

9: Crossbow Infantry

Keeping to the older crossbow, Troodon are magnificent shots. Their strength and quickness allows them to pin point and fire their bolts quicker then most and get out of range of enemy return fire.

10: Heavy Infantry

Armed with heavier armor and more devastating weapons, Heavy Infantry are known to smash their way into the enemy infantry and tear them to pieces. While not as swift as their counterparts due to their armor, they can more then make up for it with their ferocity and ability to stay in the fight.

11: Cueyatl

A race of anthropomorphic frogs that dwell in the lands of Troa. They are typically more docile then their fellows and have easily taken to settling in the lands of Troa. They are willing to aid their Troodon fellows in battle, leaping over enemy fortifications and onto the heads of their foes, crushing their skulls. Their ability to jump high into the air and so often makes them hard to hit and tricky to push back.

12: Ankylosaurus

These beasts lumber through battlefields, smashing their club tails with devastating effects into enemies. Their natural armor allows them to more freely walk in dangerous positions and they can tank most strikes against them. They are usually equipped with a small solar cannon on their backs, manned by a couple of Troodon. So while the beasts are smashing away at their enemies, the Troodon will fire away with the cannon with devastating effects.
