Convention and other things.

So this year, like the last two years, I am attending CMPC in Salt Lake City. I have two panels: one FimFiction Ask Me Anything, and one grimdark panel with TheLostNarrator. So if you’re heading that way, check them out! Should be a lot of fun.

Also, I’m about 4500 words into a new Resurgence update.

In terms of the new site update, I can live with it. Although, does anyone have any idea of how to mark notifications as read? I press the button but I can’t mark them as read, and now they’re starting to pile up. Anyone else having this problem?

So in other news, I work at Chick Fil A now, as I think I’ve said. A week or so ago a pregnant woman came in and said “Hi, I’m in labor right now. I’ve just had a big contraction. Can I get a big glass of water?”

...

“Uh... yeah, of course!” *I get her the water* “So, uh... it’s not coming now now, right? Because I have no idea how to do any of that. (I’m joking around with her, which she gets.)

“No, I’ll be fine. Although I-25 is a bit backed up.

She takes her water and leaves. I hope everything turned out okay with her. But yeah, that was a bit of a shock. A few coworkers said that they’d never seen anything like that before because of course not. Another one, though, he said “yeah, I’ve had that happen here. A woman in labor was coming through the drive-thru.” He frowned at me. “Wait, ten years in food service and you’ve never had a woman in labor come through?”

He was dead serious.

I’ve been a cashier/service/stocker for a while and I've seen some wierd stuff. Not seen a women in labor, but I'm sure it's only a matter of time...
