Episode reviews: Uprooted/ Between Dark and Dawn/ A Trivial Pursuit

Okay, quick talk about three episodes. I know I haven't been doing these weekly but I am behind on mlp. Season 8 wasn't... as good as I would have hoped so I stopped keeping track each week. My bad. Season 9, from what I've seen, has picked up the slack. So there's some positive. I'm going to try and watch at least 2 or 3 episodes a day until I get caught up. Don't worry, I'll be ready for the

Episode Review: Father Knows Best/School Raze

    1: Father Knows Best

Well this is it folks. I have finally finished season 8.... I think it's my least favorite season. Not entirely bad, but just not as good as others. I'm surprised really. I never thought I'd see a day I'd like a season less then season 4 but here it is. So let's start off by going over the last two episodes of this season shall we?

New Chapter coming soon (The Greatest Treasure/Fate Pony)

Heyo everyone. It seems I've got my writing mojo back. Well now I've finally started the next chapter of TGT and my Fate pony fic. They should be done by the weekend if not tomorrow. I hope it'll be worth the wait.

    (Spoiler review) What Lies Beneath

Still need to catch up on season 8. Don't worry. I won't be out of the loop once season 9 ends. I plan on binging the show until then. So hopefully I'll get a review done a day. So let's start with this one.

{Shimmerverse} Prench Units 1 · 7:53pm Jun 5th, 2017

1: Infantry

The basic soldiers of the Kingdom of Prance. They are loyal to none other then their respective king or queen of their country. They are outfitted with basic armor and weapons. They are adapt at putting down rebellions and keeping civil rest down just as they are with fighting the many enemies of Prance.

2: Musketeers

While Prance hasn’t fully embraced muskets as some other nations have done, they have been noticed by a number of nobles within it. Recruiting a number of wealthy nobles and soldiers with promise, Musketeers are extremely adept at both close quarters and ranged weaponry. Their magic allows them to reload quicker then most other creatures as well as to stab and parry as they do so.

3: Crossbow Infantry

Prance still relies heavily on their crossbow units to keep pace with other ranged units. As well, they will weed out enemy lines to soften them up for charging regular infantry and other units. Their magic allows them to keep sight of the enemy and make concise hits upon them with every shot.

4: The Damned

Criminals, rebels, deserters, and unicorns that have fallen too far behind in debt. These are unicorns that have been chosen to be subjected to the worst fate that could befall a unicorn in the Kingdom of Prance. They are to become living weapons. What this means is to break their horns and stuff them into specially designed suits of armor. The suits of armor will drain the ever flowing magic from said unicorns and use it to power the suit and use deadly beams of magic that can incinerate foes. The unicorns live in extreme agony every moment of their lives and only death can free them of it. This agony is put to use by Prance to sow fear into the enemies as The Damned will never retreat. They will seek death, either their own or that of all their enemies.

5: Cannoneers

As with other nations, the prench have their own cannoneers. Firing shot after shot, they will not stop until the enemy routes or they themselves die or are ordered to retreat.

6: Noble Knights

Noblestallions/mares who have taken to the sword. They have the finest armor of the land and fight for fame and fortune in the prench army. Given their stations and improved armor and weaponry, they have much confidence in their own prowess though they can be scared off by foes in certain circumstances. Still, they will do whatever it takes to make themselves renowned in Prance and to the king/queen.

7: Armed Peasantry

Forced to fight for their respective lords, Armed Peasantry are given cheap weapons and, if they are lucky, cheap armor. They are often used to very quickly bulk up their army and do it cheaply so the lords and ruler can still keep a good sum of their money in case of emergencies (or personal things). They don’t have that much of a moral and training, but they make up for that in numbers.

8: Heavy Infantry

Heavy Infantry have better training, weapons, and armor/shields to further their power. They are trained to smash an opponent’s line into pieces. They are some of the best fighters in the Prench army and are often relied on to carry the day and kill large opponents.

9: Rable Lasher

Some unicorns of the Kingdom of Prance aren’t so eager to lay their lives down in the name of their country. Rable Lashers are trained to ‘keep up their fighting spirits’. Armed with barbed whips, they can easily control certain units and push them back towards the enemy if they try and escape (though sometimes this mean killing one or a few to get it through their heads). Their whips are often coated with deadly toxins, many of which will keep the opponent’s wounds open so they will eventually bleed out. if the whip doesn’t cut off their head and slice them in half first.

10: Saboteur

Their jobs are to get behind/into enemy armies and damage equipment and set up bombs to kill enemy units whenever possible. While they can fight, they aren’t the most adept. They are more geared towards stealth so they try to not engage unless they really have to.

11: Beasts of Gévaudan

Great wolves that hail from the province by which they are named after, these large and deadly creatures are used to strike fear into the hearts of their enemies. Their deathly howls can stun a foe with fright and they are fast enough to catch up to most enemies. Their jaws and claws will make short work of any foe that they just so happen to pounce upon.

12: Monstrous Roosters

These large, deadly flightless birds were a creature that hails from the time of Discord. While not born of chaos in more modern times, they were kept by the Prench and bred to become viscous killing machines. Their clawed kicks can sheer through most armors and their beaks can easily pierce an enemy’s skull as they make short work of the Prench’s foes.
