Blog Entry: March 12, 2017 · 8:56am May 25th, 2017
OK, thought I'd give a few updates. I had intended to blog updates weekly, but by pure magic, I've managed to get this done two days early! No, seriously, that really is today's date! Look it up! Anyways, on to what I've been doing.
Firstly, the story. More particularly, the upcoming Twilight Sparkle chapter. I initially had some trouble with something. If you want to look back at the first Twilight chapter (reminder, the first chapter of the whole story), you'll notice that things jump from 'parted rather bitterly' to 'could be a date' rather quickly. As such, I was worried about it coming off as a wee bit too awkward to be believable or comfortable for readers to really follow. However, then I realized that I could just go with it, since I think it at least fits with the chapter. I'm now 912 words in out of about 3500-4000, and the words are coming easier now. My main problem is creating small talk that'll advance the plot and won't bore you the readers. I just used my known topic of conversation, now I've just got to find more. As a warning, this is going to be conversation-heavy.
Secondly, something else I've been working on. Now, some of you who've read The Early Life of Blueblood might've noted that I'm religious. More particularly, I'm Latin Rite Roman Catholic Christian (a.k.a. Catholic). Being a bit of a patriot of my various groups, I've decided to do something I don't know if anyone's done: I'm writing a stage play based on the entire history of the Popes. If you've ever seen Reduced Shakespeare Company (as well you should), you've got a basic idea of what I'm planning. Anyways, right now I'm doing preliminary research, figuring out where to split up the acts and scenes. Right now, I just exited from the Western Schism (a.k.a. that time we had three Popes). Seriously, this can be pretty interesting and pretty funny, and I'm hoping I can convey that.
Finally, on a personal front... nothing's really happened. Seriously. I'm watching the Magic School Bus and a let's play of Roller Coaster Tycoon, I'm waiting for an endorsement to come back, I bought Ultima Underworld (sadly, with horrible voice acting), and that's about it. Oh, I'm also learning Spanish, and I should really stop and practice because vocabulary's getting me every time (autism thing, I'm sure: it and dyslexia sometimes swap notes). I'd really love to get back into that idea I had where I was building my own Star Trek crew, though. Just to say I could and just in case someone would find that interesting enough to explore.
So, yeah. That's what I got. Everybody have a nice... whatever time it is where you are. I shall be getting to sleep.
