A random Blueblood crack theory or The Gala Dilemna · 7:17am Dec 23rd, 2017
So, just saw a picture pairing Blueblood with Tempest Storm. That lead to me thinking up how to pair them which then led to my own personal attempt to bridge the TV and comic interpretations of Prince Blueblood's character which led to a character somewhat like him... the Doctor.
Which led to a very bizarre idea that I feel the need to explain.
Both incarnations have an ego the size of a small planet and the comics incarnation has a remarkable amount of scheming ability, both traits common to the Doctor. The Doctor is also known for being absent-minded and manic in several incarnations (as well as one incarnation of the Master). While the Doctor isn't such a snob that he'll refuse 'common carnival fare', there is an explanation for that: regeneration sickness. Several of the Doctor's regenerations come with some mental wobbliness, be it the Fifth Doctor's lack of self, Ten's passing out, Eight's amnesia, or (my personal favorite in terms of concept even if the execution was bungled) Six's occasionally-murderous fear and paranoia.
OK, here's the idea. Blueblood was a Time Lord (pony version) who crash-landed on Equestria in the middle of a regeneration. Right prior to the Grand Galloping Gala. He manages to finagle his way into the party, where he is met by Rarity. She's seen him before, but as his future self who's gone into the past and has since stabilized into something more agreeable. After the Gala, Celestia is finally brought up to speed with this little space interloper, who manages to impress her with several observations about the guests. Impressed, Celestia lets him stay in her palace and work on his TARDIS while he serves as her ambassador (with perhaps a little bit of putting him in his place).
Soooo... yeah. Blueblood is a Time Lord (Time Steed?) stuck on Equestria with a broken TARDIS and a bevy of predestination paradoxes. This one's going in the Blueblood anthology and make no mistake about that!
I know nothing about the Doctor, but I do like the idea of you tackling the comic version of bebe. plus it looks like you have flush that idea out more.
