    Happy birthday to me!

Welp, today I turn 26 and I am absolutely riding an emotional high. It's hard to type this with nails on, but I'll try. I'm happy that I got to celebrate on Saturday, and I'm going to spend most of today relaxing. I hope you enjoy 26 Candles and I hope y'all are doing okay.

    Day before birthday reflection

Today is my last day as a 25-year-old and I’ve had a crazy year. I’ve made new friends and tried new foods, and I’ve had so many experiences, both good and bad.

I’m finally learning how to form my identity after a lifetime of not having one, and I’ve finally made some progress in therapy. I’m looking forward to what 26 will offer.

    Another Update

The day before I uploaded See You Again, I broke my leg and sprained my ankle in a slip and fall. There's a possibility that I might need surgery but I don't know yet.

    New Plan

If I write something for fun, the ratings will be enabled. If I write something super personal, ratings will be disabled. There are some things that I just can't handle being shat upon.

    Getting Back into Cooking

So, today, I realized that the OTC stuff isn't working for the post-surgical soreness anymore and my anxiety is higher than ever. I decided to make some "elevated" mac and cheese to kill two birds with one stone, and it works. If CBD is legal where you are, I would recommend trying cooking with it at least once in your life. I feel like Tree Hugger right now.

Convocation Student Presenters

to ABBY, JOLENE, Chelsea, me, Austin

All,

Congratulations!  You have been chosen by our audition committee to speak and/or sing at Convocation.  It may not be exactly what you used in your audition, but look for an invite from Mrs. Queen to have a planning and practice session, and please provide me with a copy of your speech by Monday, May 15.

Thanks for stepping up to make this Convocation the best OHP has ever experienced!

Tonya N. Ramey
High School Director

I'M GONNA BE SPEAKING AT CONVOCATION! :pinkiehappy: :pinkiehappy: :pinkiehappy:

Mrs. Ramey and I met to discuss changes to my speech because it was wordy, as fucked up as I am and me-me-me-me-me. I tweaked my speech so it was less dark and narcissistic, wrote each paragraph on an index card and recited it at the audition. And I apparently made her cry.

Congrats to ya, and good luck to ya too:raritywink:

4531017 Thanks! I have it all ready!

Laughter, tears, hopes and fears; all with us for the last four years. It makes us weak, yet makes us bold, to see just what the future may hold. We have smiled and we have cried. Not just lived, but we've survived. The friends we've made within these walls, that is what I'll miss most of all.

Making it to Ohio Hi Point actually made spending 13+ years of our lives getting up earlier that we'd liked worth it in the end. I never thought I'd say this, but I'm going to be kind of sad to see the school shrink in my rear-view mirror.

There were a lot of good moments here. Lab was a real comedy club because Mr. Carrig told us jokes that we'd never heard and always had a witty comment for any situation.

There were, however, bad moments as well. I cried a lot this year, but that was just senior anxiety.

From freshman year to now, we've grown a lot, said a lot, learned a lot and done a lot. True as that may be, we still have so much left to learn, so much left to do and so much left to say.

No matter who here is not about to admit it, we all share the same fear: the fear of leaving all of this behind.

We are a hopeful generation staring an uncertain future in the face. Some of us plan to go abroad and fight for our country, some hope to have a good-paying job and a career they enjoy and some just hope to get a chance to see tomorrow. For all of the seniors joining the military, let me be the first to say thank you for your service.

Let me remind the class of 2017 why we're here in the first place. I'm sure we've all experienced the same feelings at one time or another. We've all had our fair share of laughter, tears, hopes and fears. Today's not about me. Today's not about you. It's about us walking onto this stage, getting two of the most important pieces of paper we'll ever get and beginning the rest of our lives.

Here's to you, to me and to all the faculty members who connected our passions to our dreams and helped make them a reality! I'll miss you all! Y voy a extrañarte, Sr. Mejia, junto con todos los demás miembros de la facultad.

Congratulations!! :pinkiehappy: Best of luck!
