I love this song! It's about conformism and freedom... and I feel like I'm trapped here... in my own home. I mean, I'm NINETEEN for Starly's sake! I love Starlight, but her ideals as an equalist are a bit... extreme. Sure that used to be one of the reasons I loved her, but now... the main reason I love Starlight is because she reminds me of myself: Always trying her best to change for the better, and to remind her friends that her past doesn't define her... kinda like a certain other Twilight foil: Sunset. The three of them are all really similar, and not just because two of them are foils of the main one. It's because they all had obstacles to overcome and they all became the best they could be... especially Starly. I mean, she's on her way to becoming a PRINCESS for pony's sake! At least... I hope that she becomes a princess. In one of the Dr Wolf videos from the past week, there were some leaked synopses of future episodes.
In one of them, it is mentioned that Starly switches Tia and Luna's cutie marks... and remember how Twily became a princess? She switched her friends' cutie marks, and then switched them back. So I believe Starly might earn her wings for the same reason. Who else thinks the same thing?
