I've been pretty busy for the past couple days, so sorry if I missed yesterday's post. I forgot, andy phone doesn't seem to let me check.
Granite is mildly radioactive.
Housing insulation was once made with asbestos, but production of insulation using it was halted due to the respiratory problems that arose from handling them.

Asbestos was once commonly used as insulation for electrical wiring as well. I was told that it was for pipes as well, but I haven't verify that. Some of the power factories that I've been to still have asbestos insulation from when they were installed, as it the cost to remove them is considerable, and they likely won't be removed unless new regulations are set in place to have them removed.
