So, to start off with I have been kind of reconnecting with two old, very good friends that want to go by our old names when I refer to them on here. K and D. We were a small group, mostly just the three of us with me going by N. I bet you can guess what one of our favorite cartoons from Cartoon Network was, if not, here's a hint: KND. Kids Next Door! 
So anyways, I am having all kinds of trouble with writing the pony side of A Whole New World with most of my problems coming from it. Thankfully, D came up with a solution that I am going with. I am going to write two separate stories with the only pony scenes being in the prologue for the main story though there will be enough details in letters in the journal at the beginning or end of the chapters once we reach that section. D will be co-writing a second story focused on what goes on in pony world when I finish the first. I know I thought about this before, but I really tried writing everything together but it just isn't coming together how I wanted it to and it is becoming too much of a headache to deal with in it's current state.
A lot of crap has happened this last year, most of it my brother's health taking a plunge though for the most part it is stable right now. Because of it my stress levels have been through the roof, and I have been burnt out on nearly everything I used to love doing so much. Writing had become more of a chore to me than anything contributing to my stress levels, but doing The Sun and the Shy with K and D finally rekindled my enjoyment in writing which I was hoping You Will Never Be Alone Again would do. So again, following D's advice, I am going to write the best I can and follow what I planned out with A Whole New World since I really love that story, it being my favorite of all of my ideas, and leave it at that. I won't be changing every little detail that someone may not like or enjoy which I know will probably irk or upset some, but I just can't deal with this if it becomes a chore again. I'm going to be writing for what I originally wanted it to be for, fun. Nothing more, nothing less.
Glad to read that everything is ok. I'm looking forward to what you have in store since I also really like this story, especially since Sunset Shimmer and the Dazzlings are not evil.
4499025 Thanks, I have some work done on it already. Some of it is a rehash, some of it copy-paste and some of it new, though it pretty much stays in line with what is already written. That will change more and more as we go through what we have and rework it and get caught up with where we are currently. Working names so far is, 'Through the Mirror' for the EG part and 'It's a Pony's World' for the pony side though those names aren't final. We want names that haven't been used, but with as many stories as there is, who knows how that will work out.
