I bit the bullet, and it tastes pretty great! · 6:17pm Apr 10th, 2017
For the better part of the last year, I've been sitting in a limbo of sorts with my writing projects. Particularly with Learning Curve, for some reason I've been avoiding doing the planning work necessary before I can officially kick off the second story arc. I mean, I can write reasonably well by just winging it, but this is a story that needs a framework laid down before I can properly write it. If you remember the somewhat shaky ending that was on Chapter Twelve before I rewrote it, that's the sort of thing that happens when I don't lay out a guideline for myself in advance.
And so, over the last few days, I've been seriously re-igniting my drive to get back into the swing of fandom things. I've pulled out my old playlist of horse-themed music that I use when I write, and after poring over hundreds of pages of art and reading a few little, I finally dove in and did some work with figuring out what specific directions the story is going to take on its second arc.
In short, I'm quite pleased with where the story looks to be headed, and at the current rate, I'd expect you could see something out of me in the next few weeks!
It feels good to be excited about ponies again. And with Season 7 and the movie on the horizon, it's looking like things are only going to get better. I'll see you all soon!
Eyyy!
