So What's the Plan for the Summer? · 3:47pm Apr 10th, 2017
Hello, all! Stahl here!
Well, as many of you probably know, this semester here is coming to an end. I think I only have a couple of weeks left, and I know that I'm going to be officially done with this semester sometime in early May. And with the approach of summer is the approach of something mythical and rarely talked about between college students: free time. Some of you may have this elusive type of freedom, though I am rather low on it. The time I do have it, I spend playing Overwatch (I finally hit Platinum in Comp play too! :D), watching Netflix, or just hanging out with my friends. All three of those are valid options for stress relief. I think.
Anyway, the plan for the summer is: to stay on campus, work here, and a summer class! I know that may sound like a lot, but, well, it's not that much. The hardest part is going to be the working part, but it won't be terribly bad. I mean, I am getting paid for the work, so it'll be pretty nice I think. And, well, I also already have plans for those funds: I am going to TrotCon this summer! That's right, everyone! I'm returning to that convention life! To be frank, I'm excited. I'll be attending with most of the other members of the Fallout: Equestria Print Project, as most of us live somewhat in the area. I also might be attending BronyCon, but I still gotta find a roommate and maybe someone to carpool with? I mean, I wanna go, but there's no way I want to drive the entire, like, twelve hour drive by myself... (If any of you guys are going to those conventions, feel free to hit me up. We could totally meet up and hang for a bit.)
Now, I am also sure that I will be putting out some type of story over the summer, whether it's a one-shot or a decent chunk of an all-out story. However, I will admit, as of late, I have been working on something more original. I understand that I am, obviously, not the best writer, but I'm just world building at this stage, and I'm pretty confident of the universe I've started to build. I'm not going to share anything on here, since it's not pony related, but I may be submitting the idea to some friends to workshop later on. I'm very excited for starting on this story, but I just need to find out how I want to start it.
My hope for writing pony for this summer, though, is finishing the trilogy of the DownfallVerse's one-shots, and either starting on Rekindling a Lost Flame or maybe something longer for the DownfallVerse, which would be world building in MLP. Fun fact, I've actually made out a timeline for this universe since the ponies of the world started recording time. I think it'll be pretty awesome.

Anyway, it sounds like you've got a lot planned out over the next couple of months, which is always nice. While I won't be able to make it to pony conventions, I hope that it proves to be enjoyable. Also, I hope everything you have planned over the upcoming summer goes well, and I wish you the best of luck on your future projects.
