Photoshop Question · 5:35pm Apr 6th, 2017
I have never used the tool before, so I have a question:
How do I superimpose this:
over this:
I'd be willing to use the original image for the cover concept.
This will be the follow-up to Bug Pony Horse Waifu.
Thanks to Miss Appolonia for mentioning the concept reminded her of a magazine cover. I thought to myself "Why not take it one step further?".
Keep in mind the date in the upper left hand corner would need to be removed. It is also very important Chrysalis' eyes are not covered. This image is perfect for how I want her portrayed in the story. Would love to find something a bit more human, but the skin tone and the eyes are perfect.
Open the Chryssie image.
New layer.
Import the Time image to the new layer.
With the eye dropper, sample the border then paint over the date.
Look for the 'remove background' tool (might be named differently).
Click on the white space in the Time frame.
Adjust the frame over the base image.
Flatten and save.
Fin.
4486087 I'll give it a try! thanks!
You're very welcome.
Quite honestly, you might want to find a chryssi picture that's taller and with a white background, so you can integrate the images more easily, have her all be under the "TIME", and use black time magazine font for that extra authenticity.

Quite welcome. I hope I remembered the process correctly. I'm on the road and not in front of my cybernetic brain at home.

I just realized I don't have photoshop. I feel sheepish...
Gonna have to do some hunting. Wish me luck!

Check out getpaint.net.
4486178 Kudz suggested I try out Gimp.
If I had a working computer, I'd just go ahead and do it myself and save you the trouble, lol.
4486184 It's actually interesting trying to figure this out for myself. If I get frustrated, I'll bug (heh) someone to death to help me. I'll even offer to write a quick little one shot of their choice if I get to that point.
4486201 Aye, I would've just cheated and used MS Paint, lol.
