(April Fools) We're European Now. · 11:16am Apr 1st, 2017
Canterlot was decorated with blue flags that have 12 stars forming a circle. Equestrians of all races gathered near Canterlot Castle to listen to the announcement by the Princesses. Excited whispers was the only thing you can hear before Princesses Celestia, Luna, Cadence, Twilight and a middle-aged human appeared at the castle balcony. The whispers hushed, and Celestia started speaking.
"Thank you all for coming, my little ponies. As you all know, today we have officially joined the European Union." Cheers and applause erupted from the gathered Equestrians and Celestia continued, "From today onward, most of our laws involving product qualities, basic rights, quality of life, education and health care will be in accordance to the European laws. And I thank my fellow princesses and Mister Juncker for making this possible." Cheers erupted from the populace again.
"I thank you for wanting to join the Union," started speaking Jean-Claude Juncker. "We, as the European Union, are happy for Equestria to become the 29th state. We hope that as a Union will learn from your country and move forward. Thank you." The crowd cheered as the Chief of the European Commission ended his speech.
And so, Equestria became the 29th member state of the European Union and it helped pushing the Union forward economically and socially.
