I've spent a bit of time figuring out what my first one-shot for 2017 will be, and right now, it's between two. Between two characters you've never seen me write before.
Rara and Coco.
Yes, the sarcasm here is almost palpable, isn't it? Aside from the fact I just keep sticking to those two, here are my potential ideas for your selections.
"Bad Romance"--[Romance][Sad] A lot of fans wondered why Rara was so slow to see that Svengallop was taking advantage of her, and this is my attempt at an explanation. With the way the pop music climate was when Rara's episode was released, though, I always had some sort of suspicion that there was something...else to their relationship. All the talk about exploitative producers/managers really made me think...what if Svengallop was playing with Rara's heart behind the scenes, buttering her up with love talk so she wouldn't notice the abuse she faced on the job? If this sounds like IYGALL Act II to any of you, there is a twist to it: that Rara actually likes him for some time and that it isn't forced. It took a heck of a long time trying to differentiate Svengallop from a particular denizen of the IGYALL-verse, but it basically boils down to this: Svengallop is sweet-talk first, blackmail second. Mosely is blackmail first, sweet talk second.
"Coco-Cola"--[Random][Slice of Life] Nowhere near as deep, this is mainly a look at Coco's fillyhood life and a very strange neighbor she had. See, said neighbor happens to be a Coke Pony. Based entirely off my French studies and how "Coke" translates to "coca" in that language. Put "coca" and "coco" together, and...you see what could happen. 
NOTE: For reasons of clarity, the Coke Pony will be named "Cola," not "Coca." Having "Coca" and "Coco" as the only two characters would be torture on readers.
