Okay, I really want to apologize for the long wait for the next chapter of Wild Access, and I do have reasonings for taking so long with it. Two words: Writer's Block. Well, that technically may not be accurate as I do have an idea of how I want the next chapter to go, but I'm stuck between three conflicting ideas for the opening. Basically, it opens with Robert fighting off the Putrids that threatened the CMC, and completely powerless and bleeding badly thanks to being wrapped up in barbed wire and while he's taking down the Putrids, alone while the others face off against the Org of the Day, he flashes back to what inspired him to become a Ranger in the first place. This is where the three conflicting ideas come into being.
One: A 18 year old Robert having a normal day interrupted by one of Sledge's monsters and being saved by Sir Ivan AKA the Gold Ptera Ranger and is inspired by his courage and nobility and when SPD comes around, he takes his chance to get up to the B-Squad level and become a Ranger.
Two: Robert's in the midst of the Armada's final attack on Earth during the events of the Legendary Battle and is saved by two past Rangers, maybe members of the Wild Force, Lightspeed or Lost Galaxy teams and that in turn inspires him to become a Ranger.
Three: Same idea as the second, but Robert's actually fighting back with skills he learned from the Pai Zhua school where he followed the path of the Fox and unleashes his Jungle Beast while fighting alongside a morphed Theo and Lily who later ask him why he never finished his training and before Robert gives his answer, he gets knocked back to the present.
Whichever one I end up choosing, Robert witnesses the destruction of the Barbed Wire Org by the Phoenix Zord and is transported to the Animarium where we see just how bad his wounds and blood loss are when he actually collapses after a brief meeting with Princess Shayla and Sunset and/or Vapor actually being the only ones to offer help as Lightning's a bitch, and actually very similar to Robert in some ways and is closer to the character Robert's modeled after and Sunburst doesn't help because he's too scared of him. After that, I'm not sure what happens next in the chapter. Any suggestions would be appreciated. And as a bonus, here's Robert's main theme.
(Also, when the chapters do get up, try and guess who Robert's an expy of. Here's a hint. Think Anime series with Giant Robots.)
I would go with the first one.
I think the third one would give the most hindsight over Robert's desire to be a Power Ranger as well explaining is solo attitude inside a group.
And as what can happen next in the chapter, you can have Princess Shayla direct the ponies to bring Robert to a place on the island where he can receive medical treatment and after that have her explaining to the ponies why the orgs came back, how she give them their Power Rangers' power, what she's waiting from them, and telling some part about what happen between ponies and humans in the past.
