When ice fishing, leave your phone at home. · 6:25am Feb 1st, 2017
So I know it has been ages since I have given any sort of update.
So here is one:
Three or so months ago I dropped my phone into a lake whilst ice fishing.
...Rest in peace Samsung s7.
And for those of you who don't know why this affects my writing, well, I write 99% of the story on my phone, on an app called Polaris Office, which doesn't backup online. This means that the data saved for my story is gone.
But not gone completely. You see, I am a nerd, and nerds figure everything out and prepare for everything.
I was semi prepared.
Every now and then I would back up everything on my phone to my computer. This means that the planning for my story is not gone!!!!!
But the more recent stuff I have written is gone, so I have to restart chapter four's rewrite...
Now, why am I writing this post now? Well, hopefully within the next week I will have a new one (really it's one of my parents but eh, new enough).
Now how am I writing this? Well, I have my really old blackberry.
The blackberry that actually has a keyboard on it.
A blackberry curve.
And holy hell I can't wait to get rid of it.
What I took away from this blog is that there is a free phone at the bottom of a frozen lake in the middle of nowhere, anyone want dibs?
