Episode reviews: Uprooted/ Between Dark and Dawn/ A Trivial Pursuit

Okay, quick talk about three episodes. I know I haven't been doing these weekly but I am behind on mlp. Season 8 wasn't... as good as I would have hoped so I stopped keeping track each week. My bad. Season 9, from what I've seen, has picked up the slack. So there's some positive. I'm going to try and watch at least 2 or 3 episodes a day until I get caught up. Don't worry, I'll be ready for the

Episode Review: Father Knows Best/School Raze

    1: Father Knows Best

Well this is it folks. I have finally finished season 8.... I think it's my least favorite season. Not entirely bad, but just not as good as others. I'm surprised really. I never thought I'd see a day I'd like a season less then season 4 but here it is. So let's start off by going over the last two episodes of this season shall we?

New Chapter coming soon (The Greatest Treasure/Fate Pony)

Heyo everyone. It seems I've got my writing mojo back. Well now I've finally started the next chapter of TGT and my Fate pony fic. They should be done by the weekend if not tomorrow. I hope it'll be worth the wait.

    (Spoiler review) What Lies Beneath

Still need to catch up on season 8. Don't worry. I won't be out of the loop once season 9 ends. I plan on binging the show until then. So hopefully I'll get a review done a day. So let's start with this one.

Shimmerverse: Dealing with the dead · 8:42pm Jan 26th, 2017

The world of the Shimmerverse is full of dangers. From monster attacks to full blown wars, there has not been much of a breather for Equestria in its ten thousand year stretch. So it's not surprising that Equestria has to routinely deal with a lot of their own dead. While this sounds morbid, Equestrians view death differently because of this constant conflict.

Death is a part of life, so Equestrians don't make big spectacles such as funerals. Instead it is customary to celebrate the individual's life in the case of a party, honoring their memory. This usually involves telling stories of their life and laughing the night away. They will be remembered and no one would want another to suffer for their loss. In the case of military casualties, this will involve a parade or bigger event to commemorate those who gave their lives for their country and gods. There is no greater honor then to lay down your life for Equestria, any Equestrian would answer.

After celebrations, the bodies are burned. There are no cemeteries in Equestria. This is because the forces of chaos and other powers have too often brought back the dead in order to use them against Equestrians. So all bodies are to be cremated. The ash is ceremonially scattered by the dead one's family or friends if no family is present. This act is a private affair. For some individuals that have done great services to the nation, they are given a tombstone in the courtyard of Canterlot, the highest honor.
