Notice about My Little Engineer · 7:13am Jan 21st, 2017
So, you may have noticed that my uploads for my stories have pretty much dried up. There is a reason for that: I have absolutely no drive or inspiration to write... anything. Which is weird, because I've started DM'ing a RWBY DND-like game on my buddy's Discord and we're all having a great time.
One of the players, a new friend who actually follows me (You know who you are) had suggested in last night's session that we start a different game and record what happens and post it as a story. That in mind, i've been playing around with the idea of a sequel for My Little Engineer and even have a vague story-line already lined up. I just haven't started anything for two reasons: I'm not done MLE yet (But it is in it's last two chapters) and that whole "No inspiration/drive to write" thing. It'll otherwise end up collecting dust with all the rest of my on-going projects.
So, what I've elected to do is set up this whole "RPG-turned-published-story" thing to play out as the MLE sequel I'm gonna be calling My Little Explorer. It'll hopefully be where each chapter is a session or two with the players, where each main character is played by one of the players in the Discord. The story will be more Star Trek: The Next Generation-like in the sense that it'll be episodic and focused on exploration of Registered Space between the new-destroyed Equus and the new planet Harmony. The content will also be a bit more Star Trek focused so that I can use it's terminology (Planet/star classes, ship class comparisons, etc.) though the interacted species will be up to myself and my players (Player's fimfic page links will be provided in the first couple chapters). Technology and ship building will still remain around Space Engineers, using appropriate mods as I deem fit (Won't be providing links to Steamworkshop pages this time, though) for the same of identifiability and keeping it as a sequel for MLEngineer.
I don't think I'll be needing any more players that what i've already got, though that may change later on as interests and schedules change. If I do ever need more players, I'll make Author Notes in the chapters themselves when the need arises.
